Wouldn't that be a 6.5th?
-
On the FH020aa R/R, it mounts easy by drilling 2 holes, it's the OEM size. The 847 for 5th gen takes a bit of creativity to mount it. It's physically larger than stock. (6th gen, I have mount kits for that.) >Ok gang.....Should I develop a 5th gen mount for the 847?

Since nobody has posted it yet.... https://roadstercycle.com/

I'm a creature (truth) of habit, but I like the original Pilot Powers and generally cheap. (About $110 rear and $95 front) Now if I was going cross country, probably would need something else.

I have run the FH020AA for 3 seasons....no issues, it's fine... ----- So hey gang, should I develop a 5th gen SH847 mount plate kit.... similar to the 6th gen?

May as well add to the thread on detailing....... technology marches on... I keep trying products as they come out, and in the last 6 months or so, Turtle Wax Hybrid Solution products - Shine and Seal, Ceramic Wet Wax, and then the Graphene Flex wax come out fantastic on paint -gloss over the top........ I follow Apex Detail on YouTube, and Brian there does a great job on giving pro tips on detailing...... Cheerz

Having done the deed...parts is parts..... .....Stock 5th gen parts > Wheel, axle, spacers, rotors, axle bolt, fender....need fender bracket fab. ( I used to make these.) 5th clip-ons, triples .......VTR Parts > Lower fork legs, axle clamp bolts... - I upgraded the springs and valves. > Brakes - RC51, F4i, CBR600, 954, match the master cylinder - makes it easy.(mine are RC51) Custom brake lines (Mine are Spiegler, they are local to me.) Notes.... Minor grinding needed on lower area of calipers and lower fork leg mount boss....Top of mount is fine. (Bolt from up top, swing down caliper for areas to work on.) 1mm spacers needed on back side of calipers to get the pistons more centered.. ( I'm running a common off the shelf hardware washers, there was a time I was going to grind up some custom washers, but after a while, it didn't seem needed.) 5th gen triples are wider stance vs VTR triple Don't forget to change the rear master cylinder to 14mm (F4i, RC51, CBR600, VTR) This job is a delink project too so all that gear comes out. Some photos are in my gallery

Nice garage! Good to see you posting again... -
Costs have really gone up on aluminum/machine time.... really a group buy is probably the only way to get prices down to a palatable level. Overall, I probly taken a loss on this thing...

I am probably just as crazy about my bike(s) appearance...(I get asked quite often on my 20 year old 5th, "Is that new?")... and I like to try darn near everything to test out how it goes... I admit I have gone down the Ceramic Rabbit hole of products, and they are quite nice. But I do like a good Carnauba product too, and I will have to try the Bowden's if I can get it. I also have an OCD stash/list of stuff for about any surface cleaning and polish and situation. A big shout out to Autogeek in Florida for their huge selection of detail products. Cheers all.. BTW -- looking AWESOME Grum!

I am amazed that shops are still selling them..... Also, recently I was at cyclegear picking up a few things and I end up talking to a BMW guy about to grab one off the shelf. Gave him the warning about the filters, told him he could go down by using one. He gave me a scoffed look at said, "K & N is quality" -- very sad, ok bud, sorry I mentioned it. (Ok, die idiot)
