  2. Just for clarification..... I did know that the 6th wheel is the same as a 5th, but to use the 6th in the 5th, use the 5th spacers? Thanks all
  3. I was looking at the year end budget and thinking of the panic mode I was in when HS was saying he was shutting down.

  5. But what of the Yellow Peril? Is it just sitting in the garage wasting away?
  6. Agree with that, most members here are fairly proficient with wrenching on motorcycles. If you have a question on how to fix something, the answer is on this forum. This is a great tech group and the best forum on motorcycles in general.
  7. I own a '98 and they are fairly bulletproof. once you take care of the charging system. If the previous owner kept up with it and the bike was well loved... go for it. Of course a 25 year old motorcycle will always have things to watch out for. BTW -- what Terry said...
  8. Aw...."a-scared" of pair? Cmon dude, it's frickn easy...You got the plates....Do it! Yes it can be done on all VFRs...Stop reading everything on the net...
  9. I have that DID chain tool and after using it a few times, its worth every penny. Its a fine piece.
  10. Hey....I am going to do mine over the winter. I will probably buy a wrench off Amazon. There's at least 10 choices. Haven't decided which one. Dunno if I would trust a rental.... No hurry for me though.
  11. Grum, it's good to hear you are doing well. Great idea for the wine transport... I'm not much on wine myself, but a good porter or stout... Very best wishes.
  12. Hi - the FH020AA works fine, I am running one.
  13. Wow! Damn sweet! What year 750 did you use? Where did you get the body? Any photos of the build process would be awesome. Holy crap, I'm drooling..
  14. Check- www.cycleterminal.com That's my goto place for cycling electrical stuff.
  15. I appreciate the offer, but as a longtime tool junkie, I'm looking to purchase.
  16. My OCD self is getting more concerned about low torque specs.... Any recommendations for low range quality precision torque wrenches? Mbe 36 in-lbs to around 240 in-lbs.. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. 🙂
  17. Dunno, I haven't gone through hose by hose and laid it all out....AS3 sell separate wax hose kits though.... This looks its gonna be a winter teardown project. Probably thermostat, injectors sent out for cleaning, and general overview check out.
  18. I went ahead and bought the AS3 clamp set.....when I started pricing out all the Norma clamps, getting all the sizes was a bonkers task....it was then....screw it. Buy the pre-packaged set and be done with it..... As a BTW, the AS3 clamps are quality pieces, like the Norma clamps anyhoo....
  19. You will need to consider waht hose clamps to use also.... AS3 set or I am looking at Norma based on...
  20. Bren pointed out to keep the gas tank full... adding my OCD to it.. I also have a bike not ridden much and try to keep the tank full...plus I give the bars a good shake once in awhile to distribute all around the surfaces... (no rust allowed) 9000? holy xxxx...wow..... beautiful silver....
  21. Probably means AS3 hoses... plenty of members here have purchased them... https://www.as3performance.com/collections/silicone-radiator-hoses-honda-vfr-800 Skids... what is your current milage today?
  22. The pre-MOSFET R/Rs did get freakn hot and adding a fan was part of a fix to improve in the past. But the newer tech MOSFET really dont get hot, just warm, no hand burn when touched... FH020aa....
