  1. The Harbor Freight unit works well enough, I used it for years, but can scratch rims up unless you're very careful. Upgraded to the No-mar unit a few years ago. They aren't cheap but paying those prices, driving 45 minutes to the nearest shop for me, waiting around, still getting my rims scratched by the new kid, it pays for itself after a couple of years.
  2. Can't figure out where I originally found this pic.
  3. For the street: https://www.aerostich.com/
  4. Color? I may have a full set for sale.
  5. I'm still getting late-December dealer emails about Italy shutting down for 3 weeks over the holidays. From last December: URGENT UPDATE: Plan NOW for the DUCATI warehouse closure in Italy - coming next week! Ducati has notified us that the global Ducati parts & accessories warehouse in Italy will be CLOSED for accepting new orders from Dec 20th through Jan 7th! NO OUTGOING SHIPMENTS will be leaving Italy for nearly 3 FULL WEEKS! The fuel sensor on my '20 MS is currently going out, but it is under warranty still. Still fun bike, has been trouble free other than the fuel sensor acting up.
  6. This is a standard option on any Ducati over the last 15+ years.
  7. Someone would... https://www.classic.com/a/mecum-las-vegas-2019-rW9lLn9/lots/1988-honda-rc30-nXldYMn https://iconicmotorbikeauctions.com/auction/1990-honda-rc30-with-3-miles/
  8. Hi vfrcapn, Thank you for your donation of --. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion
  9. Lot's of people feel the same way. This is another forum member. The things the newer bikes are going to have though are the adjustable power modes, TC, WC, ABS, electronic cruise, etc. You don't sound like that is what you're after but may be a consideration.
  10. Corbin in the US still makes them I think. They'll also recover one if you send them one in rough condition.
  11. Welcome, that is a very nice looking, unmolested '99, which has been tested to be the fastest year and color of any of the VFRs. Did you swap out the yellow blinkers for clear? BTW, '00-'01 mirrors bolt right on and you can ditch those condom mirrors. Nice ride, enjoy!
  12. I bought from this place: https://www.ebay.com/itm/201413374648 Seems to work fine, lots of options on eBay too.
  13. I'm not sure that bike is going to compete any better than the last 2 years to win the Ducati Cup, err, MotoGP title.
  14. Does Honda even sell motorcycle anymore in North America? My dealer, showroom inside looks the same...
  15. Very nice bike, looks like it was taken well care of. Throttlemeister bar ends, steering damper, Wolf exhaust...it's got all the best bits for these bikes, nice find.
  16. Tough crowd... Aftermarket heated grips are inexpensive. Bike looks great, ride it and enjoy!
  17. No issues, I’ve only done a few hundred miles but seems to be just fine using the 5g cover and 6g components.
  18. How about Skidmarx? https://skidmarx.co.uk/guards-huggers?q=Brand-Honda/Models-VFR800/products-Rear+Huggers I have one on mine, it's a 2 piece design, they can make up the chain guard without the mounting holes if you don't want to use the fender - at least they were willing to do that 10 years ago when I got mine.
  19. Bike is looking good, looks like you've got it well in hand.
  20. Hope we all get some more seat time this year. My Multi has only seen 6K over the last 3 years.
  21. Looks like a good start. BTW, if you want to leave the yellow peril behind in California and not mess with importing it, I’d be happy to take it off your hands.
  22. If someone wants a clean tank they'll probably pay $300-$400 for it, since they're unobtainable anymore. The problem is finding that person, or waiting for them to find you. So if you want it gone quick(er), $150 - $200. I have a tank and fairing set in the classified for $700, not a single inquiry after a month.
  23. Just checked and besides looking the same, the stampings are identical to my SP2 wheel.
  24. It sure looks a lot like a RC51 SP2 wheel that's been powder coated or painted.
