  1. Hey all, I just got my bike back from the shop for the wiring recall fix, and when I brought her home (no power commander) she felt like she was running the same as when I had it installed. I put her back together last night and checked everything over, installed the PC into the new harness, and then added the latest map from Cozye. First off, dammit am I pissed! Seems my PC lost its map a while ago. All this time, and all that wasted gas! This map is a hell of a difference from running a zero map. Absolutely no VTEC transition at all, smooth all the way to redline. I actually had to look at the tach today, I knew that I should have felt a kick, and there was nothing, just more noise. Gas mileage is better, and she has no hiccups, sputtering, NOTHING. Thanks again Cozye!
  2. Thought that I would let everyone know, I got mine back this morning. Rode her home from the dealership with no body work on (and my girlfriend behind me in her Sheriff's car, ) Not only did it get fixed, and all the wiring being completely brand new, they also saw that I had a bad headlight, and replaced it free of charge, along with noticing that I was missing a bolt, and replacing that too! On top of it, they met me at the dealership an hour earlier than they open and had her ready to go right out the door. They let me know to call them should I notice anything wrong at all. So, I guess I can be one of the ones that says he has absolutely no complaints. YAY ME! :3: :3: :3: :3: :3: :3: :3: :3: :3: :3:  :fing02: :fing02:
  3. I took my bike in last Wednesday(5/21/08) and had a bit of a snafu. The parts guy asked me the year of the bike, got a harness in, took two weeks. Bike got there, wrong harness for mine. Called Honda, harness was shipped overnight and arrived the next morning. They get everything out of the box, and Honda didn't send the harness for the front section. Actually asked the dealership to take pictures because of the severely melted plug on the main harness. Overnighted the parts to repair everything, got her this morning, and now she is done. As a matter of fact, the dealership double checked for any other recall issues and found another one that I wasn't even aware of for an LBS issue. All in all, they have been great. According to the tech that is doing the work, this is the 6th VFR they have had in for the recall. Said he has it down to a science, and they have had zero complaints. They are even working around my crazy work schedule to help me pick her up tomorrow morning. According to the tech, EVERYTHING has been replaced. Brand new harness all around, new main fuse section. They even saw that I had my o2 sensors unplugged and asked me if that was ok, or they wanted them to put them back together. He said they started her, and checked everything for me, and that she sounds awesome in the shop. Seems they like those Laser pipes, lol. All in all, kudos to Action Honda in Hudson Florida. John in the shop over there has been great and more than willing to help out and make sure to get back to me any time I call there. Later, Jeff
  4. I want one of those. Would be an awesome bike to just have in the garage to look at, and a really fun one to have out on the street!
  5. Larry, I would still like a set. Travis, I hate you for making yet another thing I want to put on my bike. Damn you, will you stop and go rest or something!!!!!!!! Later, Jeff

    Busted

What was the reaction when you asked if you could take a picture of the whole scene? I have only been pulled over once on my motorcycle. The rest of the times when I had a cop behind me, I just ran like hell!!!! j/k Later, Jeff

    Obi-wan

Interesting picture. I am guessing for a write up for MCN.
  9. After reading that, I actually sent that to my home e-mail account. I am going to print off a few copies and its going out to my riding buddies when we see each other next. I usually lead, and I am all for setting a Pace of this sort. I will cruise in two lane highway at around 60 (in a 55) but I don't like much faster than that. The author is right, it just attracts too much attention. I find it much more exhilirating to barely slow down coming into a corner, and getting on the throttle on the way out, much more than going as fast as I can. Now, don't get me wrong, we all have :goofy: moments, but I prefer to ride knowing that I will make it home. Later, Jeff

    Kentucky VFR

Ummm, the only way to make that more squid is to have on sandals and one of those helmets with a big metal spike on top.
  11. Umm wow, where can I get one of those.
