Brrr !

My notes say ~10 minutes @ f4 on K64, painting the VFR with a maglight. I was on my way home from the '94 Moto GP at Laguna Seca, my first long trip by bike. It was after midnight and I was far to tired to carry on. I could have stayed in Kayenta but decided to press on - not a good idea as there was no vacancy in Mexican Hat, Bluff, or Blanding. Plus, Monument Valley is tough to see after dark :-(

Thanks, dado. Nevada is one of my favourite states to ride. The terrain is just so different from my neck of the woods.

Thanks, Brian. Btw, there's a decent little cafe near the eastern end of NV722 - the Toiyabe Cafe in Austin.

This is mid-way along a stretch of Nevada Hwy 375 that is dead straight for 25 miles. Gives you lots of time to check your speedo accuracy. Though back in the stone-age of '94 it was with a stop watch, notebook, and mileposts.

Very cool photo. I'm guessing it is an evening shot taken in the middle of Nevada.
I've taken a few centreline shots but never of myself sitting on the pavement. After a fright a few years back I now remove helmet and earplugs ;-)

If a bike/car looks good in white, as your's does, then they got the shape right. But I think the wheels let it down. Any thoughts on changing their colour?

Cool pick, though those 'bars look a teensy bit low for my aging back.

What a pretty little bike. It doesn't seem that long ago that it and the 750 Interceptors graced the magazine covers. I guess that means I am an old geezer.

Thanks, HS, for featuring it. I'm glad that everyone seems to like it.

Fyi, this VFR had about 38K kilometres I bought the bike 2nd hand in late 2004 and almost 70K km in this photo. The bodywork looked really good but quite a few of the tabs were broken and I never did manage to successfully mend them. But the bike looked this nice when I sold it in mid-2009. I changed to the 1990 VFR graphic, from David Silver Spares, because it looks a lot better than the 1992 version.

Nice pic and a good story for those of us with the mid-winter blues.

V-four - check, loud exhaust - check, white wheels - check, agh, make that dirty white wheels ;-P Nice ride!

Cool image. I've ridden past Bonneville several times but never stopped for photos.

Looks like a wonderful track day

A beautiful VFR, and the only attractive white bike till the '09 Vtec.

Lovely bike in the best colour, though a lick of white paint would make those wheels pop!

Glad you like it.
Oreos? After all my rides to California I keep thinking CHiPs

That is a fine looking bike, nearly a twin to mine.
I have found that washing gets the loose dust & dirt off. For excess chain lube Honda Spray Wax does a good job. And it also makes them easier to clean the next time. WD40 on a rag will get the really stubborn chain lube & road tar. Commercial wheel cleaner can help with stubborn brake dust.
Personally, I prefer white wheels but agree that they are a lot of work.

Lovely shots of a great ride. The bikes might be mismatched but I bet it was still a lot of fun.
It looks like you stayed at Antlers Lodge in Cooke City, Mt. - I love that place.
