On the other hand, after 3+ hours in 100 ℉ a little rain could do a body good ;-)

Looks like proof that the VTec is faster:-P
Locals might see it differently, but it's been my experience that California has more courteous drivers than elsewhere in the western US.
-
Hey, I've been there. Unfortunately, it is about 1400 km away :-(
-
Aha, it looked more like the top of Beartooth than Yosemite. Is it on the climb up to Tioga Pass? In any case, it looks like it was a great day to be riding.

Where is that? Cool photo.

WD40 chain lube and a Yamaha R1 reg-rec ;-P

Lovely bike. It's great to see different coloured VFRs.
-
Lovely bike, and with a near-mythical left side (Two Bros ?) exhaust.
The '93 VFR was the first white motorcycle that I liked.
-
Lovely view from Olmsted Point with Tenaya lake in the background. Yosemite is one of my favourite places.
-
Love the customized header.

One of the great aspects of this model VFR is how narrow it is. Yeah, the muffler is off but it tucks in very close to the body. Contemporaries like the RF900 or the ZX9R look obese by comparison.
You will definitely regret the sale, I know I did.

You might want to spoon on a set of Heidenau K76 for that road ;-P Beautiful scene.
-
When I had my '91 VFR I wanted a white one like yours. Now I do, though it's a 2009 model.

What a lovely colour for a 5th gen, it's my favourite. And the non-black wheels make a huge improvement.
-
What an awesome bike. Twenty years ago I passed up the opportunity to buy a low mileage RC30 for $10K. I've kicked myself ever since.
-
Very nice job, vfeistir. But it didn't look too shabby in rwb, the white wheels and 9-spoke rear transform the tricolore.
-
I should have known that your bike would be correctly sorted ;-) And it looks great, too.
-
Rob, your forks don't seem to have very much available travel. Is that just an illusion? Or…
-
Hey, I know that road - it's on Cal 49 just north of Bear Valley. And it is spectacular ;-)
-
Being out in the open and getting caught in a storm is a lot different than watching one out the living room window.
Lovely photo.

Oh, I do hope you have something planned to sparkle up your wheels ;-) All that effort with the bodywork is let down by their black finish, imnsho.
Motorcycle News Australia have this Vtec VFR in almost the identical colour:

That's just another summer day on the California. At least, that's what I see every July leaving Monterey ;-(
-
The seat looks red hot - no wonder you stopped for a picture ;-P

Looks like a beautiful day for a bike ride. I'm curious about the yellow bracing - is it original, modern, or done sometime between?

Hmm, I think maybe that's an NC30 - VFR400R. The fork legs lack the QD axle clamps of it's bigger brother. Still, it's a beautiful bike.
The saddest decision I ever made was turning down an offer to buy a stock, un-raced RC30 from Carter Honda in Vancouver back in '93. Money was tight and the $10K was just out of reach. Should have robber a liquor store ;-)
