From the album: my trips
In 2007 I attended one of Reg Pridmore's CLASS days at Infineon and it was a blast. A sunny mid-May track day in NorCal is damn hard to beat. photo used with permission, credit: Ian Donald - http://iandonald.com/© Ian Donald

From the album: my trips
In the fall of 2004 I bought this '92 VFR. It had about 40K km then and when I took this shot in early '07 that was up to 70K. By then I had stripped the paint from the fork legs, repainted the wheels from the original silver, fitted the UK market graphics, and added the very same Supertrapp can I'd had on my '91 10 years before. After 4½ years and 55K km I sold it and bought my 3rd VTR1000F. I see a pattern forming.© Lorne Black

In 1998 I jumped back to the VFR fold with this brand new VFR800. Resprayed wheels improve visual and a Yoshimura RS3 helps unleash the aural. Unfortunately this bike met an untimely end when it was stolen less than a year, and 25K km later.© Lorne Black

From the album: my trips
After taking this shot on SR62 I realized I was still wearing earplugs - oops. Near joshua Tree NP. I bought this, my first VFR, in 1993. Only two years old with less than 4000km. After adding another 90K km over the next four years I sold it and bought my first - of three - VTR1000F.© Lorne Black

Fyi, this VFR had about 38K kilometres I bought the bike 2nd hand in late 2004 and almost 70K km in this photo. The bodywork looked really good but quite a few of the tabs were broken and I never did manage to successfully mend them. But the bike looked this nice when I sold it in mid-2009. I changed to the 1990 VFR graphic, from David Silver Spares, because it looks a lot better than the 1992 version.

From the album: my VFRs
The painted fork lowers had seen better days so I removed them before stripping the paint. I was going to spray them with clear but decided to leave them bare and see how they fared. A couple of years on they still looked perfect.© Lorne Black
