  1. Of course I grew up in this era... ewwwww
  2. That is a feature, not a flaw. Just add one of these. Problem solved. .
  3. You have brought dishonor! Today is a good day for you to die.
  4. Oh I agree. But maybe that design element of a super short tail has gone a bit too far. It would probably be nice for many riders that it could be ridden in the rain when needed, be legal AND not look like ass. The rooster tail from the rear tire would probably contribute to the spray on your helmet visor at some speeds. Imagine if the road had any mud on it too. Your whole back would be a mess. It's like they got done designing it and then went, "Oh shit. The license plate, light, winkers and reflectors. Fuck."
  5. You're right. That one is also just plain stupid.
  6. Ooof. Yeah, there has to something tasteful, cuz that ain't. Especially if rain is not in the normal forecast for a ride on the bike. It seems a lot of new bikes are designed to be both legal for sale and immediately modified after purchase. The extensions aren't integrated like some early ones and easily come off with like 4 bolts.
  7. I may have some shots of my 1995 carbs when they were out on my shop computer. But probably not very detailed or close-up.
  8. If you don't know if or when the fuel tube o-rings were replaced, and the carbs are out of the bike... always split the carbs. And, sorry, I do not happen to have some 4G carbs out right now.
  9. I would inspect the chain o-rings for damage. That groove looks kinda deep and sharp-ish.
  10. The stock springs are woefully not up to the task, even when new. You would have to weigh only 6 stone for the springs to be correct. Get some appropriate straight-rate springs and set an oil LEVEL, not quantity. You didn't t mention if the tach worked prior to the bike being "rebuilt". (re)Check all connections is the best I can offer..
  11. Did you rebuild the forks?
  12. Shit. I better clean up my shop again.
  13. Hardest part will be scraping gaskets. If not replacing metals, scuff them radially then clean them real good. Soak the new fibers overnight in some oil.
