  5. I was very very nervous about the recall, but I eventually got my head around finding a dealer to complete the work CORRECTLY. Planet Honda in Chadds Ford Pennsylvania (near the delaware state line) offered to do the recall work while I waited. I was told that the mechanic had done a few bikes (no problem) and I could be riding again in under two hours. The work was performed just like it was promised and things look great. I checked as many connections as I could and the blue high beam indicator lamp is brighter as so are the headlights. HOWEVER - I pulled over to take a few pictures on my last ride and the hazard lights no longer function! I use this feature whenever entering and exiting toll booths (ever since a truck almost ran me over) as well as when I sit along the side of the road... taking pictures. Did the hazard diode have to be removed and switched over? And left out? Does the NEW harness have the diode installed? Does this indicate that MORE problems are around the corner because of careless work. I will let you all know when I go back to the dealer next week.
  6. I'm with MELVIS. I don't shop WalMart either. And K&N oil and air filters are in my cars and bikes... all the time. No problems.

  8. That tail pack is great. I seem to have a thing for anything with matching facotr colors. It looks fantastic. Can you supply the company and the name of that item?
  9. I used a trailer to move my 919 around when I need to and plan to do the same with my new VFR. I have the nylon straps from "Canyon Dancer" that make the tie down process quite a lot easier. Anyone want to comment on what will happen when I crank down on the tightener if handle bar risers are in place. I'll bet they are just as strong as the "stock" arrangement. A wheel chock bolted to the trailer might be a better choice, but the nylon straps are sooooo popular and cheaper too.
  10. I wanted to add the whole touring package after I bought my bike last year. The HONDA hard cases were the perfect addition, but the top case was stupid looking (sticking out so far behind the seat) and it threw off the balance off the bike and that was before I even packed anything. The dealer took the top case back AND the bracket that allows the quick release.... I love the look of the top case over the seat. NICE GOING. I just might give the OEM top box one more try. The whole project looks fantastic - let us know how it handles with a load!
