I love your headlight covers. Sure beats the blue painters tape I use to cover my fragile bits during track time for the Advances Riders courses at the local track at DCTC.
its green painters tape, only because I ran out of blue, LOL -

I went with the (ridiculous)14/43 with an 1/8th turn throttle - great for the track, but I might put the 15 front on since I still carve it up a bit on the street.
I was @ 16/44 but went 16/45 just for the stoplights in the city. It’s perfect now.

Nice Rob. That is a h3ll of a project. Looks like a whole new slab and foundation. Should make a nice workspace!
yes sir. New concrete floor and foundation, new doors, windows, wiring, insulation, paint, wall sheathing, lighting, heat, door openers, the works.
and I did all the work myself save for the floor and the two overhead doors.
the only thing that’s original are the studs, stucco and shingles!
what kicked it off was the floor was absolutely shot and the garage had sunk about 4 inches. Water was running under the wall in spring.

Greetings vifferheads
I’ve been absent awhile and buried up to my eyebrows in a total garage rebuild project.
10 months and my largest and most ambitious, expensive project of my life.
the end goal of course is fo have a nice place for the bikes to sleep, and of course wrench on them!
things still need a little sorting, organizing, and moving things in, but we’re 99% of the way there now.
so much so that it’s wrenching time now.
since I’m going to a 2 day track event at Area 27 in May, I’d better get a move on.
the NON VFR is getting a Penske shock, factorypro shift kit, new/used upper triple, swingarm spool lugs welded on, powdercoated swingarm, ceramic coated exhaust, and some basic maintenance, grease, fluids, etc.

Great work on this mate. Had an old wolf exhaust on a previous bike and would love to go down the same route as you did. Here in Poland, we don't have great affordable options (zl vs. euro/pounds) and a dual aliexpress akrapovic can setup is being researched... so thanks for the dimensions!
Have to ask, did you do any tuning after the setup? Do you, or anyone, know if going from one can to two, without "special" VFR cans, could be detrimental to performance? My mechanic friend was saying that with my current aftermarket + a new pipercross air filter, I should have some custom tune done for long term reliability. Guessing two cans would change the dynamic that much more? Perhaps a stupid question, just not familiar with the relationship between it all.
Thanks!Hey thanks!
no, the bikes fueling is totally stock
no power commander or anything
it runs just fine, no issues at all

Yuk, it sure is! Luckily my 5 year old bike will only ever see 1 year old brake and clutch fluid.
Yeah, wasn’t my fault. Bought it like that.
All good now!
