  1. A redirect would point to any site it could be moved to. I was only thinking of Miguel and his sense of ownership. The information could be moved. It’s better than letting it die. Thank you by the way for stepping up. I hope it works out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. If someone is to save the forum, maybe a name change to reflect the change? I'm sure Miguel has some feelings about his baby going off without him.
  3. I felt the axis shift.[emoji16] Safe travels Leon! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. VFRD has soo much more to give! Making popcorn now.
  5. I've checked in here daily from joining in 05 to today. It filled the void left by the departure of motorcycle magazines. There has always been good reading here. Most of my closest friends were made at the rides posted on this site. This is a huge loss but keeping it going should not rest on one man. I hope that you enjoy your freedom Miguel and that you will always know what a wonderful impact you made in many many lives.
  6. Great news! We've always had a good time there. You know I'll be there!
  7. Looks like there was a pretty good pucker moment at some point.😆
  8. I canceled the second order of a rear master cylinder due to the seller saying it was in stock, then notifying my four days later that it’s on back order.[emoji35] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Silver was a Europe only color. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I didn't notice the first time I looked at your original post but I do think that's a fifth gen tank. They did come in silver. If I'm not mistaken, silver was only in 03 on the sixth gens. It makes me think someone had an off and put her back together with OEM used parts.

If whoever you are coming with doesn't introduce you to the group, look me up and I'll make sure you get an introduction. I'll even introduce you to @bmart.😜
  12. Almost forgot...let me be the first to bust you on that filter!😜
  13. I've watched that N600 video countless times over the years. What an awesome build! I've always wanted a VFR motor in one of those Japanese mini trucks. Keep posting so we can follow along on your latest.
  14. Watch for side effects of antiseizure meds. They had my dad on some last year and he wasn't doing well at all. He is 94, but still, watch for any and read up on whatever you're taking. Glad you feel up to working.
  15. Lucky enough to see it in person last May. Hope to get another before I retire.
  16. Maybe Frank? 😜 (insert gif of Peter Boyle dancing) Sorry, I'm too lazy to go find and insert it. Your dad sounds like my kind of guy. My child tells everybody that she had older siblings instead of parents. She turned out to be an awesome person.
  17. Good to see you are on the path to recovery. That zipper is going to be an opportunity for some great lies.😜 Went through the seizure thing with my dad last year and can confirm it is scary stuff.
  18. Install a volt meter asap. Check the connectors on the wiring from the R/R, Stator, and battery. Those are the trouble spots other than the stator itself. When the voltage starts to drop, you will know its time. When you wrap the tank, add some carbon down the top so that you wrap in three sections. It will make it a lot easier and tie in with your seat cowl. Cut a mesh gutter guard to cover that hole in the airbox. I used silver hvac tape to hold it on. It will keep the mice out. Nice work BTW, its looking good!

No formal rides but this year, I will make sure you get hooked up with a group. The same goes for anyone else who has not attended and might be on the fence. If I know you're coming, I'll try to make sure that I reach out and introduce you to everybody.

May 4-7, 2023- VFRD Spring Memorial Ride. It will be held in “Bryson City” at the Microtel Hotel. Rates are $80 weeknights/$120 weekend. Call 828-488-7900 between 7-3 weekdays to make reservations. It’s newer, nicer and more spacious all for our enjoyment.
  21. Below 55 degrees, I don't even work in my garage. you're hardcore Dutchy!
  22. The only thing that could make that last pic cooler is having the tach and speedo pegged.😀 Nice work Leon! Many more.
