  1. Welcome to the forum. Your new 6th gen is doing well on those high miles, good find.
  2. I flushed my 2001 system with distilled water and vinegar and never had that issue, so could be an issue with your wax idle unit. When I did it, the temps just rose faster, because there was no coolant in the system, but didn't increase the idle rpm's.
  3. Welcome to the forum. 968 miles in 1 day 😲. How many hours? Lovely bike. Did it need much for the MOT?
  4. Welcome to the forum. Lovely 1200F you got there.
  5. Welcome to the forum. Thats a well organised garage you have there 🤩, lovely vfr too, looks tidy. 1999 mode alsol, so no cat or auto choke, better headers, bonus 👍 You will be happy with the SH847 too, it can handle more current and runs cooler. Did you get to ride the vfr at all yet?
  6. I got one last year myself. How do you find it?
  7. Beautiful 5th gen you have there. Looks like its in great condition. Welcome to the forum.
  8. JT sprockets also have the rubber. I picked this up recently - https://jkmoto.ie/product/jt-front-sprocket-jtf339-16rb-16-tooth-pitch-530-rubber-damper/ Its the 16T version, they also do the stock 17T version. I went with 16/43 on my 01 vfr, not a huge difference, but I do notice a little more grunt at low rpms.
  9. Maybe someone took it for a spin . Too nice of a bike to leave lying around 😂
  10. Thanks, very tidy 5th gen. I like the deleted rear pegs, think I will do the same. Looks great. Are your downpipes, stock? Its looking like I will have to get a mid pipe fabricated and a custom high mount bracket, unless anyone else has a better idea? Hopefully I can find someone local to make the pipe.
  11. I think were I am it's always been that bad 😆 I think a dash-cam is a great idea. You don't need one...until you do. I'm going to pick one up too.
  12. The picture link is dead. I'm interested in seeing this unicorn 🤩
  13. Its a lovely 5th gen you have there. Thanks your input.
  14. To remove the cat & sensors etc and mine are pretty crusty. How long have you had the gpr?
  15. I have an 01 VFR800 and I am looking at replacing the stock exhaust system. I am looking at a viper exhaust: Viper Alloy Oval Slip-On E-Marked Can With Removable Baffle Universal Fitment And Delkavic (or Lextek) SS Downpipes, like these: Delkevic 4-1 Stainless Steel Headers Honda VFR800 Interceptor VFR 800 Normally the Viper exhaust uses the following mid-pipe for hanging the exhaust: Viper motorcycle exhaust connecting pipe That mid-pipe is for mounting the exhaust in the stock position. How would I go about getting the pipe high mounted? Could I just purchase a mid-pipe for a high mount exhaust, like the mid pipe that comes with the high mount version of: Dominator Exhaust Honda VFR 800 Fi 1998 - 2001 Can you mix and match exhaust parts like that? Or are they built specifically for a matching exhaust? Is getting a link pipe fabricated, the only option? Also, is there a such a thing as a high mount kit, with high mount hangers etc. for mounting? Finally, does anyone have experience with the GPR dual exit exhaust for the 5th gen?: GPR Exhaust System Honda Vfr 800 RC46 1998/01 Homologated slip-on exhaust Dual Inox It looks interesting, what effect does dual exit have v/s single pipe exit for the 5th gen? I couldn't find much info on it.
  16. Does flushing the cooling system out, resolve this usually? Or more serious work required?
  17. Sorry to hear you got the dreaded electrical issues. Hopefully you get to put some miles on it after your fixes. Did you get a good deal on the vfr?
  18. Welcome to the forum. Wow... you have owned a lot of vfrs,.. Nice. What has been your favourite gen so far?
  19. Welcome to the forum
