Doing the powder coat is easy. Its finding a oven big enough for the parts. Plus you cant use your kitchen oven cuase your not suppose to put food in it afterwards.
I wish I knew the name but there's a liquid stuff that you can put on polished metal/aluminum/chrom and it'll seal the pores. It came out a few years ago. The big seller for it was for chrome wheels. I also saw it on teh car shows on Spike TV.
I dont want to hijack this thread but I read in the manual that you need to lube the chain with 80-90w only. I dont see how that would stay on the chain.
To keep the chain lubricated. Hence, extending the chain's life.
I understand that, but is it really that hard to get off your bike and lube it yourself? I could see it being useful if your going across country.
Also, is the oil even gonna hit the O-rings on the chain?
