And..... That being the case; you can now purchase the three assemblies, a new rear disk and it would change the need to farm out the work, saving you enough money so that it would cover the cost of a new shock. Something to think about. The only thing you would have to tackle is loosening, removing the old brake disk from the axle. I'm sure you can deal with that.

Just a heads up on some of those parts; I bought new shock linkage parts late last year, early this year, as I will also be doing a similar job to this hopefully this winter. At the time the following part was listed as no longer available; ROD SUB-ASSY., CUSHION CONNECTING 52475-MBG-000 That meant that I had to buy the bearings, seals and collars as separate units and do the work myself. That assembly is now re-listed as being available from Honda. Maybe Honda is bring back some parts for the VFR that were previously unavailable? Not sure,

What did I do to my VFR? Well, I wrung it's neck for many hours on some mountain highways today That fat girl sings more sweetly the more abuse I give her. Still, she needs to go on a diet and lose a few pounds, in my humble opinion.

Hmm, never would have even thought of that as a fix. If you had the wheel raised off the ground, even go ahead and remove the calipers, tightened up the axle before the material set, and use something like the stuff that the Honda factory puts on cam gear fasteners that turns to rock, then ya it would center and hold the wheel. Then again if it doesn't work then you don't have to worry about it because it will be new wheel shopping time. Ducky job though. Hope it works out for ya Bren.

Enlighten me; I'm curious... What location, exactly, is it being suggested that this Loctite be applied to? Between the outer race of the wheel bearing and the wheel casting?

Be sure to have your requested work clearly acknowledged in a response from Sargeant. You don't want to end up talking to the shop manager who finally admits that "no.......we didn't do the custom shaping on your seat as stated in the invoice, we just recovered it. The guy that used to do that sort of work is no longer working in the shop. How about if Sargeant gives you a credit on some future work or purchase? Would ya be happy with that?"

Well that is certainly not the best news I've heard recently. All efforts are/were appreciated; it was kinda like having a saving account that I could draw on when needed. TBH, I didn't realize that VFRD was headed up by one person; thought it was a group sharing the load. All the best Slammer.

I don't post on VFRD very much. Now, this post is going to be long, kinda weird but......what the hell. After some good amount of time has gone by, I'm betting that the good souls of VFRD will have forgot or forgiven my transgressions anyway...........even my spelling. It could very well be that the reason a lot of you folk are having a hard time finding "Motorcycle Oil" is because I have most of it. Yep, sitting here on the eastern slopes of the Rockies I have amassed a fortune in "Motorcycle Oil". Back when most people were running for the toilet paper aisle in April 2020, yours truly, Bronco, was running for the "Motorcycle Oil" aisle. What say you we take a trip in time, a trip of mind, using a bit of the inventory of "Motorcycle Oil" as our time machine....... First up, we have this beauty, Advantec Ultimate; Ah man alive, those days were good, and bad. Yep, I had decided to bring in the new Big Slant K1200 Beemer to join up with the K75 and a Honda. Yes there was always a Honda around for some reason. The big K bike was a hot rod, and no one will ever convince me different: Next up we have an absolute classic; Shell Advance. Yes sir, I can't say I've ever used the shit but holy cow I have plenty on hand. I'm getting old and senile and to tell ya the truth I can't recall when and how I came upon this gem and started hoarding........ Next up in the "Motorcycle Oil" adventure is one of my go to stand by ole reliables. Yep, its Lucas and it is in-expensive. Being priced right, I naturally can literally fill a tanker truck with my supply of this stuff and use it to this day, regularly: Anything else around? Well sure. Here we have an oddball. Used by heaps of folks by the heaploads this tractor oil is used in motorcycles of all kinds. In my books it then qualifies as "Motorcycle Oil". I use it every year as the last oil change of the year and run it for the first month of the season as I'm getting my legs back under me on the ole motor-bi-cicle. I especially like that common sentiment says that conventional oil should not be mixed with synthetic; so I do it just to be a prick sometimes. It comes in at $37.99 Canadian Bucks and despite not being carried at most outlets a guy can buy pallet loads at Princess Auto for that price. Jolly Good. I say!

Hingley; 4-589 NS Trunk #2 Elmsdale, NS B2S 1A4 (902) 883-7859 That is the Auto Value in Elmsdale; call them and get them to bring in 4 litres of Lucas 10-50 Motorcycle oil; they probably already have it on the shelf, along with the Semi-Synthetic and Full Synthetic Lucas Motorcyle oils. They don't charge any extra to do that and it is only 30 Km from your location in your post. Problem solved.
