  1. After 72000 mi on my VFR the rear pads are still original and mostly unused....
  2. Replaced old carbone lorraine front brake pads with new carbone lorraine front brake pads. I think I got my money's worth out of the old pads !
  3. Today is the last day I am riding in 2020. Starting Mileage Jan 1 was 43131. Looks like the total for the year is 29028 Miles.
  4. No not a statistician but sometimes it's good to present your info a different way. I have a diary for my VFR....everything gets logged. Fuel economy not so much but, I'd wager it's almost always over 45 mpg. The 8th gen is an efficient beast....
  5. Here are my stats month by month . Purchased my 2014 VFR800D off the show room with less than 10 mi on the odometer. Here are my stats for each year. 2017,2018,2019,2020. The left column is miles. Enjoy.
  6. Grum the honest answer is I don't know. Six valves were out of spec and while my mechanic was in there the reasoning was to do the CCTs also.
  7. Had both CCTs replaced during the 60k valve adjust....trying to get rid of the ticking noise. Post 60k service my VFR feels stronger than new....

Hot Damn. Great picture ! The idea of shredding those corners has been a great start to my day. Thank You !
  9. Well done gentlemen....let's show them 8th gen VFRs are fun and durable !
  10. Sweet. I want to see those 6 digits on my odometer as well.
  11. Funny I just told my shop the next tires I buy will be PR5s. Your statement is not making me so confident. I figured PR5s would be good for 7000+ mi. Say it ain't so ! I really like Metzeler Roadtec 1s but, I couldn't get more than 7k out of a set and I just had set 3 installed today. Not consecutively....it's complicated.
  12. I had Metzeler Z6s Installed on June 2 and took these pictures this morning. I rolled up 5024 mi in the month of June . Verdict; Good bang for the buck but, I liked the Pirelli STs better for the same money. These tires were $215 on Amazon and worked well for the first 90% of their life. On the ride yesterday I could feel the front end starting to move around a bit more than I'd like in some aggressive corners. I never used the rear brake on this set of tires and the rear "cords" are starting to show. Curiously, the previous set of tires ( Pirelli Angel STs ) I experimented with using the back brake a lot and they lasted for about 6000 mi before the rear tire started showing cords. Using the back brake can be nice but, my feeble brain has very little capacity ( IE balancing front and back brakes ) so I'm back to my exclusive use of fronts. Next set Metzeler Roadtec 1s....Yippee !
  13. Last time I checked we're posting mileage...not talking directly about oil. There's a different post for that. Low mileage posts are welcome too !
  14. The equivalent mileage being over 137000. That's impressive. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Sorry riding a VFR with 300K ( Not sure if that's miles or kilometers....either way impressive )
  16. It's great to see all generations showing their mileage and sharing the story. I like the Ninja 1000....here's a link to a recent discussion about the new one. It doesn't have a centerstand or room for one. Also, one of the many commentators cites riding a VFR ( not sure what generation ) with 300+ mi ? ! http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2020/06/2020-kawasaki-ninja-1000sx-md-ride-review-first-thoughts/best I think the VFR is the best combination and the total package.
  17. I think the VFR is the whole package. Put an aftermarket slip on exhaust ( I'm using a Delkevic ) ,tweak the suspension ( Jamie Daugherty to name one option), tweak the OEM seat ( Sargent rebuilt mine ) and you have a unique motorcycle that can do it all. Plus you won't see yourself coming and going everyday.
  18. The instrument panel definitely looks better with the blue nightime back light....
  19. Thanks for joining ! I brought mine in May of 2017 as a new leftover also. No track days but, as much riding as I can do. It's a fantastic motorcycle...
  20. I can't ride my VFR enough. Post up a pic of your mileage !
