Did that ride a few times, along with priest grade. Without the normal summer vacation traffic this year, it was like riding on my own personal closed course. Such a nice road!
  2. Hahaha, I guess I should wear my glasses...............
  3. Those carbon side covers are tits, where did you get them?
  4. Nice job! Any idea on the amount of weight reduction?

  6. Just watched the "crappy video" and it looks like the bike is coming along nicely! Also, if you turn it up, I swear I can hear Pink Floyd playing in the background - good stuff! I am also realizing with the bad case of MBD I have, I all of a sudden cannot afford to upgrade my bikes, as I am just having enough free time and money to maintain all of them.....
  7. It finally happened! I powdercoated the wheels at work, and they came out nice. All new wheel bearings, seals, brake rotors and tires. I know it's not pristine, but it has all the tasty bits I wanted. Having so much fun riding it, I don't know if I will go back to the clip-ons.............just have a few pieces of bodywork, and new headlights to replace the old. the RC Tuono!

Hey Rosso, what mirrors are those - my 3rd gen stock one broke, and I'm tired of the mirror "condoms" that don't stay put.......

Really cool picture! The bike looks like a shark quietly swimming in a school of a million little unassuming feeder fish..............I love pictures that grab your childhood imagination and bring it right out!
  15. Yep, I just checked the service bulletin, and that is correct - no need to drain. Hopefully the mechanic followed the proper procedure - have you lifted the back of the bike and tried to spin the rear wheel to check for binding or noises? If you put a floor jack under the center stand mount boss, and just lift it a few centimeters, while on the side stand, the back tire will come off the ground and you can check it's rotation for dragging.
  16. Make sure they didn't forget to fill up the final drive with oil - I think they drain it with the service. Also check the lug nuts. Maybe the shipping company dropped the new shaft on the way to your dealer? Unlikely but possible.....

  21. Finally got mine replaced, and it does seem less clunky at low speeds. Waiting for the rain to go away.............
