  1. Thanks for such a helpful post. Going to do it on a 5th Gen. Clutch and front is clear, there's just 1 bleeder on the front and 2 on the rear, nothing else. Is that right? I swear have seen a post by HS for doing it for 6th Gen LBS, not sure if it's same or there's a separate one for 5th Gen?
  2. Don't laugh, I am on lighter side, but with gear and everything I am ~150 lbs. Can I use 10W or 15W? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Maxima-56916-15Wt-Standard-Hydraulic-Fork-Oil-16-Oz-Bottle/162033379499?_trksid=p2050601.c100085.m2372&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D35356%26meid%3D5e32eec26ad04b79997e5f706b570d58%26pid%3D100085%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D162033379499%26clkid%3D4736685344832721200&_qi=RTM2247625 I can completely remove the forks, not a big deal. But can oil be drained with the forks on the bike or no? Thanks guys.
  3. So I am planning to change the fork oil in the next coming weeks. I have a 1996 VFR 750. Is the procedure same or anything is different? Any specialty tools are needed for 4th Gen? Any suggestions for fork oil for regular and normal street riding. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks folks.
  4. For anyone using Advance Auto Parts, use this coupon: TRT30
  5. I always buy Oil from Walmart or unless it's on Special/Sale. Are you talking about Purolator Classic or Pure one? I have never seen Pure one at Walmart, only Classic.
  6. For people who have Advance Auto Parts close to them, PL14610 can be had for less than $5. Buy online using 30% off coupon and pick it up from the store. If anyone has any other cheaper suggestion, I am all ears.
  7. Hey guys, so I just followed the instructions, couple of questions I have: 1- With front lever only two front bleeders are bled, correct? 2-With rear lever and front left caliper cylinder bleeder close to battery is bled? 3- Both Rear bleeders are bled from rear brake ONLY? 4- Front left center bleeder is bled from rear brake again? Please see pictures of my brake pads(first two rear and last for front) and advise if they need replacement, plus rear brake is hanging out of caliper and front both are locked. How to put them back? Thanks for helping out.
  8. Very helpful and informative. Just finished replacing coolant and engine oil. One word of advice is to replace coolant in reservoir bottle too. Just a personal preference, otherwise an excellent and helpful tutorial. Thanks so much for it.
  9. Thanks, just realized mine is NOT ABS and this DIY is for an ABS version. Would it differ in procedure?
  10. Thanks FJ12. I am planning to follow step by step this tutorial. Should I consult book too or this is enough? I don’t think so it’s ABS, because I don’t see any ABS light on the cluster.
  11. Guys, I am planning to replace all brake fluid in my 2004 VFR800. Any tips or tricks or things I should watch for and pay special attention? Should I just follow the write up step by step and it should be fine? Thanks very much for helping out.
  12. Thank you. For PL, is there any preference on the forum between PL14610 or PL14612?
  13. For 6th Gen, is PL14610 easy to put on? I mean, in terms of space and area? Or PL14612 should be fine too? Not trying to start a debate, so only interested in PL, please :)
