  1. Hi Sparkie. I have the same exhaust and love it, however the main colour of mine is matt black. From your photos yours looks more like a gray or is that a polished metal effect? I've run the bike for a long time with both noise restrictors removed, however I've gone to having only the upper one installed, find the sound level is just right for me, both restrictors in seems too quite for my liking. Experiment with them and see what sound level suits you. Enjoy the IXIL, it's a nice addition to the 8gen. Cheers.

Beautiful example of the RWB Classic. Love the white wheels, a real stunner.

Beautiful shot. Love the haze in the distant valley and hi contrast, could only have been taken with a descent camera. Oh, it's a great looking bike too.

Very special, and a very nice shot.
  8. Good point you raise FJ12Ryder. It did appear that I might have been getting some air via the threads, but that didn't concern me, I had a reasonable flow of fluid without opening the bleeder too much. End result was no spongy feel just as you'd expect for a good bleed process. Any air drawn through via the bleeder threads is probably not going to cause an issue IMO.
  9. Tried out my new $20 Vaccum Brake Bleeder Kit, worked a treat. Then the Red Lady needed a wash, while I had one of these .!! Cheers.
  10. Hi FJ12Ryder. I'm with you on this, and at the risk of also stepping back into the "shithole", just wanted to update you on the Flapper Removal from my 8th gen. My reasons for removing the system was based on Honda's removal of the system from the 2017 model, I was keen to simply remove some clutter from under the tank Provided I didn't induce any detrimental effect on performance, fuelling or fuel economy, have had an open mind about this systems pros and cons for ages - technical and personnel opinions abound with the system! This is a subject that has been thrashed to death I can only say that my bike is SUBJECTIVELY as good if not better without it. I can definetly (at least) confirm after approx. 10,000kms without it that my fuel economy is as good if not better. I personally believe that the state of your air filter (cleanliness) will have greater effect on performance than what the Variable Intake System can offer - Subjectively speaking. It's no surprise to me that Honda have removed it. YMMV! Now - also stepping out of the "shithole"!!! Cheers.
  11. Hi Michele. Poor fuel economy - Have you checked the state of your air filter.? Are you running Ethanol added fuel? Check for any vacumm leaks. Possible fuel pressure regulator issue. Assume you don't have any flashing Fi codes? Make sure your Thermostat is working correctly, bike is reaching normal operating temp. No dragging brakes? If you don't have the full Service Manual you can download it from this site at the forum home page. Good luck. Ciao ciao.

Nice shot nice bike VFROZ, must get there one day
  13. Hey Variable. Does this help, check out the location of Item 2. Straight from the 6gen owners booklet. As mentioned I just found it easier to place it where I showed you with the Yellow arrow, your choice. Cheers
  14. Hi Variable. Just for info and to use your photo. I used to store the handle where the yellow arrow is pointing, just wrapped it in some cloth and it sat there nicely. As the toolbag was just overloaded with stuff, having the handle separated helped. Cheers
  15. 6gen tool kit never came with a wheel nut wrench. Don't think my 8gen has one as well.
  16. That's very strange, same with Partzilla it's itemised separately from the kit P/No. 89256-MT4-000 $12.03. Should be a definite part of the kit! Operating your C spanners without the handle is not an option when your out on the road!!!! Yet my 4ea VFR's came with the OEM kit and having the handle! Cheers.
  17. Here ya go Variable. The chain adjuster and the slip on extension handle. The other C spanner is for the Rear Shocker pre load adjustment - you won't be needing that one seeing you have the remote adjuster. Cheers.
  18. Something is missing................The extension handle for the C spanners, coupled with the chain adjuster it makes for a maintenance strut for raising the fuel tank, apart from being essential for normal use of the C spanners.

Superb capture Marc. Great lighting Great composition, love it.
  20. That's just a real neat shot. Bright blue sky and a glowing, stunning looking 1200. Nice one.
  21. Large screwdriver works fine. Just add a layer of masking tape over the tip.
  22. That's a nice looking ride. Think the color is Candy Red. Enjoy. Cheers.
