  1. Grum (or anyone else that would care to comment),

It's been a year since you last responded to one of my posts.

Could you tell me where the information is on VFRD site on Lion batteries?

I have an 05, VFR800 ABS, with 38k miles, and I am thinking I will soon

have to replace the battery before I start riding it again this fall.

I'm wondering if my R/R will have to be replaced if I chose a Lion battery?

And I want to select the best battery as I have read stories about the bike's

electrical system catching on fire and the bike going up in smoke.

  2. Grum,

Could you give me the specific model of this KANEG head lift stand that you mentioned in your November 21, 2020, post? I'm hoping I might be able to get one of those in Atlanta or have it shipped here.

In years gone by, you have helped me with so many helpful mechanical posts. I really appreciate it!

I haven't been able to ride my 05 VFR800A for several years, but in about 15 months I hope to add some mileage to the 38k miles on the odometer!

Taken in the Bright, Harrietville and Mt Beauty area for all the photos I've uploaded.

      Cheers

  5. Morning, Grum. Sorry to intrude. I'm out pipe shopping for my 14 VFR, and really love the Ixil. Did you polish your headers, cuz they look sharp!

    Cheers and Happy Christmas!

      Hi pgeller.

Sorry for the late reply, but didn't realise you'd sent me a message.

Firstly I love the IXIL exhaust, so may people have commented to me about the look and sound, also they had to be compatible with the Honda panniers. I like their short and tampered finish, it shows off more of the rear wheel. Yes I occasionally polish the headers with a product called Autosol Metal Polish simple to use a works great, I like the way Honda have gone with the 8th gen in having the polished headers they look neat.

      Regards.
