  1. I think I finally got everything worked out on the bars. I ended up going with the longer throttle cables from Motion Pro which worked out great. At first I though I was going crazy because they were still binding but what that ended up being is I had the grip pushed up tightly against the housing which was causing it to stick against the housing. Took her for a thousand mile trip through Arkansas and it was great. Very minimal wrist/arm fatigue. Next up I guess is a better seat. I am thinking of doing my own custom thing because my main problem is I broke my tail bone playing soccer years ago and that starts to get a little sore from riding for a while. Thanks for the recommendations all!
  2. Maybe wires for your horn? That's what they look like to me. It kind of does, but the horn works. It looks like maybe something was stuck on the left fork at some point so I am guessing its for an accessory of some sort that someone had installed at some point. Next time I have the tank up Ill see if I can figure out where the wires are going exactly.
  3. Ah. Thanks for the recomendation Stig. I will go ahead and order some of those.
  4. I guess I didnt explain very well. Its those two little unconnected cables kinda sitting further down. Its two female blade connectors.
  5. I found an ebay sell for some NT650 clip-ons that said he had used them on his 99 VFR and they were a decent alternative for the heli bars so I decided "why not?". I installed them tonight and they look pretty decent. The riding position is a lot better. Up at least an inch and a half and back just a touch. The only issue so far is the throttle is binding at the very far right stop. I rarely hit that stop except when pushing around in a parking lot so I am not sure how worried I am. The throttle cable is pretty much already adjusted all the way out so I dont really see an alternative on that. Here are some pics. My question is this, while I was down adding a little shim to the steering stop because the bars are a getting a little closer to the tank thank I would like. I ran into a couple of loose cables I hadnt noticed before. Anyone know what these might be too? Oh, one other small issue I forgot to mention. The long screws that hold on the bar ends are too long to thread all the way in to the clip on weights. I am going to Ace tomorrow to see if i can find some shorter screws that will work.
  6. Didnt take it as cricital. :P Thanks though. :)

  8. I didnt expect this to be featured, I actually used my new phone to take the picture and did a selective edit that blurs the background.
