  2. G'day Volatile,

Can't get over how good your VFR paint job looks. Is it the original red (it looks a bit 'deeper' than normal)? If not, what specific colour did you choose? What else have ya done?

    Cheers mate.

Cheers to that group!! My bro and Dad are in that one.. and my current VFR is in that one too.. Albeit, completely stock back then, but still, the same VFR.. Sweet..

  5. Very nice... I borrowed a Nuvi one time, and since I did not have any RAM mounts or anything that would hold, I suctioned it directly to my tachometer since I know my bike after years of owning to know exactly what RPM is being delivered from the engine. I like that RAM mount off the tank mount bolts though. I have my voltmeter installed and mounted right there, but, in the case that I invest in a NUVI or some other GPS, that is a very nice location...

    BAS sensor problem

This was my 2 week work on my 5th gen.. including newly mounted and painted wheels, newly painted forks, newly painted rotors, and pics of the engine stop relay, BAT sensor and various others..
  7. Hey travis.. this is a very nice look... Mine was glued in, and I used the cap of some aerosol can a long time ago... but this material looks great and stock on the overflow tank.. what kind of tube is that you have to 'stretch' into place? very nice.. I have limited experience on epoxy, and I like the thin nice clean layer you have done this with... Tell me tell me.... Thanks man.. PS... 5th gen... got on to see pics of your excess $2400 worth of huggers to see if I liked them... just dont need one now... :)
  8. HEY!! Maybe mine will come in today!! Sweeeet... gives me something to look forward to!! Hehe...
  9. MIchael, Make sure you post back and let us know how the red's worked out. I have 8 Blues heading my way as I ordered them as soon as I saw this thread. I wanted to have a couple extra just in case. BUt, you opened up a good idea with buying both red and blue... Pics if you could!! Thanks M~~~ Michael H..
  10. Not that I even have to say this because you have probably alredy seen it, but they do have scrolling led license plates on the market.. tharkun has one on his Gold Wing and is potentially buying one for his VFR... It is awesome... you can program like three different lines, and it is activated via a push button. ie.. Someone riding your arse.. clicky button thingy.. scrolling statement that tells them in some non-gestured way to push back or feel the WRATH... Similar to this one...
  11. Hey Burma... Sorry a bit long on the reply, but if you happen to be tracking this, I took this pic in Mobile, AL.... It is the USS ALABAMA. In after effect, during Hurrican Katrina, this Battleship was knocked off level and is now being worked on to put it back to spec... Interesting.. If I am not mistaken, close to 10 degrees off center.... I seriously doubt any more than that, but definitely possible...
  12. Very nice..although some have there discrepencies, others are in complete agreement.... I think this was a bit more time put into everything I was trying to say.... Nice write Trace... Maybe you are right too...go with the color that pleases my interest... Thanks...now, I have to strictly determine that one....
  13. LMAO.... needed a bit of a laugh t'night!! hehe... On a different note, I'll give you a hug if you pass me one of those beers.... :warranty:
  14. Hence my point on the whole GSXR quote... But, unrelated, although just to make sure clarity was not blurred, the you was not referring directly to you Oxmole... Actually, it was referred to anyone who goes out and buys a GSXR, rides it out of the parking lot and hits Redline within 500 feet of the dealership, only to lowside due to cold tires and stand up saying "But....but..... sheeesh, I thought that flashing light meant to throttle back even more!!" :goofy: In other words, it was one of those OH SO SQUIDLY statements... :D
  15. Good point Enzed.. Although I did not mention it, it was previously mentioned in the initial post I believe. oxmole...the only thing I can say for this is that if it becomes too overly distracting there are 2 things that can be done: 1. The assembly comes with a black cover that will absorb all light/cover up the light assembly and take away the shift light mechanism.. Pop it over the top and Bingo, you are good to go... 2. Depending on where you set your shift light to go off (mine would be anywhere from max HP to redline), then surely you are not hitting these RPMs on a constant shift to shift basis. Hence, the light should not be distracting unless you are making it distracting. If you are, maybe you should go out and get a GSXR... And, if nothing else, this could be sort of like a warning light for yourself to keep from hitting any RPM's you do not want to be hitting... Just my thoughts....
