  1. Hey I saw a post of yours from 2010 about hot stator wires. You said old connections can get hot and eventually melt... to solidify those connections. You said if the whole wire is hot you have other issues.

I have done everything except get a new wiring harness... which I have no time for and is not necessary considering the only hit wires on the entire bike are from stator to reg rec.

    Do you have knowledge here?

  2. Thanks guys. The parts fiche shows the attaching bolts for the tone ring as 5x10mm.Does anyone know the thread pitch? I'd like to know the correct thread tap before I try this.
  3. My '03 is abs. With my spare set of wheels, I want to have a set to swap out with a sport and a set with commuters. The mod. My spare front isn't an ABS. Has anyone tapped out their own holes into a non-ABS rotor to mount the ABS Ring? Can this be done? I'm about to give it a shot in a couple of weeks.
  4. Sounds interesting Timmy Decoppe. It would be tough to tell whether they would contact chain or not. I could send my mid pipe up with pops for a comparison.
  5. Dutchy, that sounds interesting. My bike is in the shop since Tuesday directly following TMac. Dyno Jets getting done. After that I'll be full throttle on getting my exhaust situation fixed. I'll post exhaust photos in a few days (next week?) when the jet kits get into the shop and I get to take her home.
  6. Hi all! I'm facing a couple of issues with the two brothers racing exhaust that came on my bike. Its mounting position had allowed the rear axle to rub a hole into the side of the exhaust canister. It has been thickly patched- a piece of aluminum welded over it. We've done a bit to the ride height and the suspension but it still appears to be rubbing. I plan to get a pipe made that will mount it higher up in the rear but don't want to get rid of my rear pegs. Anyone done this to a third gen and have some insight? What did you do to mount it?
