  1. Some boring video from the ride. I was way off of my A game! Temps were cool, down to 47 and wet for a bit! Had two buddies with me, so looking in the mirrors quite a bit and slowing so I could see both of them back there. Really fun easy day getting just over 200 miles in.

  8. Indistinguishable from new pants and jacket set. Best venting in the market; drilled not punched holes, so they don't close back up, ever. These babies flow air! Pants fit a 6/8 or medium. Top fits a bust size 36 with some room, so 38 would also be fine. They zip together in the back. Pants are size 12 with two zippered generous front pockets and one generous snap closure rear pocket.   10. Non-mountain ride was excellent. Just under 200 miles and raced a hawk. VFR00 actually a joy to ride...and loving the sound of this Delkevic.

  13. I am the muttonhead in this (what should be) finale in the VFR saga. Looking at shock length and not bike ride height caused me many hours of headaches. Even I can't believe it. The next time that each shock is out I will measure to compare. For now, they both stay bolted in and as they are. Yellow VFR00 hot sag numbers came in perfect after some adjusting. Front is 24/34 and rear is 10/30. This is after a few changes to get rear ride height very close to VFR98, which I love. The yellow bike front forks are a touch (1.5mm) higher in the triples (front of bike is lower) and the rear is a touch higher (w/in 1.5mm) measured up from the axle...but close enough for a lackey. Simply everything feels better with the geometry changed. Braking. Seating. Pressure on arms. Mid corner direction changes. Everything. Patience paid off. I was ready to light it on fire...like I am with the ABS FJ1200 wheels/brakes that cost the earth. I rode both VFRs back to back today to verify/set hot sag. While they feel different because the components are different, they are both pretty excellent. Absolutely adequate for any kind of riding. I planned to be zippy in the mountains tomorrow, but all 7 buddies bailed, so I'll likely just roll around the lakes here, which is a 4-5 hour ride.

  15. The Bandit 600 is a perfectly adequate bike to do just about anything. And it is comfy!

  18. Tire mounting is a total rip off. Has been for a LONG time. You could try track day vendors. Prices may be the same or better and they usually mount for free if you buy from them.
  19. Is it the bike in your profile or some other? Cable or hydraulic? Have you looked at anything...like the activator/pushrod? When was the last time you serviced it (fluid or cable lube)?

  23. I can say this, don't buy garbage. Better to buy used quality items if price is an issue. On the rare occasion that I wear Cordura type products, I use Fieldsheer. Their product line has changed a lot recently, but used is likely very available. I'm not an aerostich fan. for me, they're way to hot, wet, ugly, and the armor isn't where it is needed when you need it. Just too much movement. You could also do what I do for off road, which is full armor only suit (tops/bottoms) under nearly anything with some abrasion resistance. The armor stays where it should when you need it. There's an enormous amount of quality gear available for not a lot of money these days, especially on outlet areas of sites. Maybe some hint on what you think is important could help us.
