  1. Ive got it, ill let you know. 15mm, and it has half as much movement outward after contact with the ground
  2. I was able to fit the cbr1000 side stand directly to the vfr bracket. The only other thing i wanted was the cut off switch which i also had to use from the cbr. As far as i can remember it mounted up easily. If it took a shim or two, if i could figure it out, it will not be a problem for you Seb. Recently had to purchase a new side stand as the alloy cbr stand foot wears from repeated use on payment. I used one from a 2014 cbr1000sp thinking i may be the tallest option. i think it was $125-150ish new for the stand and switch.
  3. Hey Rush, Ive been off line for the last 12 months also "Life". Seb's amazing work sucked us all right back in. 😉
  4. Seb, Thanks for the detailed post. Beautiful! Great job!
  5. Im not on the forum regularly anymore, and when i do get on i usually have a PM asking about this build and or how to find the post. It has been archived, can find if googled. Im asked if i still have and ride. Yes regularly 67,000 miles running as strong as ever, and added a Dymag CBR600F4I front wheel and EBC rotors recently. Laid it down last fall (cold tires sat behind slow moving cars way to long and then to aggressive on very next turn, which my pride was hurt most of all when those two cars passed me as i was trying to pick her up, LOL. So has all new right side just needs fairing touched up. I am glad everything is aftermarket on the bike because a lot "new" OEM parts are not available any more. 399lb VFR848, was not the best choice for topic name, but i think in down to 396 dry. Google link attached
  6. until

can't wait, see you at the microtel on the 20th !!
  7. Thx Mello! If you ever run another of your VTR fork for VFR fender adapters, please let me know, I could really use a set Thx!
  8. Yes 1lb 8oz less with EBC rotors then the F4i thee spoke which if I remember correctly was only 12oz less than the Vfr stock wheel. Advertised as the weight savings is at the outer edge which should make the most impact, I am hopeful I will feel the difference. EBC rotors with Vesrah XX pads are great. Visually much better than the 3 spoked F4I cast wheel. At 396lb dry now, I think I'v done all I can. Now I just want spring to hurry and get here.
  9. Dymag made for me a Cbr600F4I forged front wheel, to complete the project.
  10. My K&N oil filter that i had hand tightened, failed at the weld while ridding. Not a drip but pouring out. I was lucky, i was sitting at a traffic light a mile from home and someone pointed it out to me. it was flowing so much i thought it was a radiator hose leaking, so road home carefully watching the temp gauge, when i pulled in realized it was oil and had coated my rear tire.

  12. I have a penski shock that was set up for my bike and weight. I had the valving and or shim stack adjusted by a suspension tuner during at a service a few years ago, and seams to be set up great. I Had race tech springs and valves and thought it was better then stock, but when I got the adjustable fork inserts built by Jamie a few years ago, for me that made the biggest difference.
  13. hey Kevin, long time no talk, hope your still active on the forum, I found an old post stating you had an 848 front you were trying to mount. I HAVE THE 848 REAR AND F4I front, I WOULD LIKE TO FIND AN 848 front or similar lightweight option. Were you and to fit the 848 front? Im using a VTR forks w/ f4i calipers but can make something fit if close.

I can't find an f4i aftermarket alloy or carbon wheel front available.

Hope you and family are well

    Griff

  14. VTR 100O FORKS lowers, Daughtry DMS custom built adjustable inserts, F4I calipers and master. Brembo rear caliper and master. someone on the forum is making a bracket for the Brembo
