  1. Just unloaded at the Rocket, headed to get Kevin now. We'll all see you guys tomorrow Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  2. Lisa and I will be in Custer tomorrow afternoon. If needed we can pick up anyone having problems, within a reasonable distance. We are trailing in so it will be easy to load up a bike and head in. Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  3. Hey Leon, I bet the ram mount I sent you would fit in the stem of that vtr, then no rotation problems Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  4. Hi huntinggunns, Thank you for your donation of 25.00 USD. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion
  5. Well, missed out on voting but my choice is Custer. Looking forward to it no matter where it is held. Thanks for putting this together Tony,
  6. Custer is my choice, about the same distance for us. Always looking to see new things. Ultimately, no matter where it is held, it'll be great to see the northern group again. I can't vote on my phone so I'll log in tonight when I get home and cast my ballot. Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk
  7. Mobil 1 4t 10-40. No problems, and can tell no difference. IMO it all boils down to epa mandate for fuel economy
  8. Mobil 1 10-40 racing 4t in every motorcycle I own. The tolerances have not changed, just the epa mandate to achieve better fuel mileage.
  9. Congrats Dutchy, you will love that bike. I put on more miles on my little 500 than any other bike I have owned. That was years ago but I wish Honda would bring out that bike again. They would sell millions.
  10. Most of the time I just order on-line from the fiche. However, when a part is not shown such as accessories, Keith has always come through with the part number and cost right over the phone.
  11. Just spoke with Keith 2 days ago to order a few parts. He is still there. Great guy, he has always taken good care of me. Sent from my crazy hand held thingy using Tapatalk 2
  12. Glad that the Mother Honda took care of the problem.
  13. Looks like that project is coming along great. I am really interested in seeing the build thread. Might be a retirement project for me. I so miss the sound of gdc's. Sent from my crazy hand held thingy using Tapatalk 2
  14. Where did you find the risers at? Been considering doing this instead of the Speiglers on my wife's 07 but using OE handlebars.
  15. I would contact Dan directly. He may have a few sets left. If not you might be able to talk him in to running another batch. His contact information is on his website.
  16. Yes. The screws will break. A small pair of visegrips do the job very well.
  17. Got mine today. All of us members that got a set of these need to send Dan a great big "Thank You" for doing this. It may not ever happen again. So, THANKS DAN
  18. Just got a reply from Dan. Looks like we are getting close. This is what he had to say. I am machining them right now. Hopefully they'll get down to anodize on Monday. --Dan
  19. Shot Dan an e-mail a couple of days ago. All 20 sets he was making up are sold. He has started the process and said he would update us as he went through the steps. Will let you guys know when I hear anything else from him. Sold as in they are being shipped now? No, they are not being shipped yet. These were a special run because Dan did not have any in stock and he wasn't even sure he was going to make anymore. He agreed to make a batch of 20 if the interest was still there. The thread was started to find out if it would be worth his while. It only took a few days to get enough members to ask for a set for him to agree to do this. All of the 20 sets have been sold to members. He ordered the materials to fabricate them and started getting the tooling set up to make them after he saw the interest was still there. He stated it would take about 4 weeks to be ready to ship so he should be getting close. As soon as I hear from him I will let everyone know where he is at with the project.
  20. I just ordered the Sigma kit for my wife. After speaking with them about their lowering link I feel confident that it is just as strong and durable as the OE if not even better. It is machined slightly larger than the OE. It is made from the same materials. It is also just a bit shorter in length which should take some stress off the center of the link (the longer an item is the easier it is to bend due to leverage). Just my thoughts.

  22. To the original 15 on the list. Dan got with me today to let us know that the material is ordered and he is setting up the machine work. Should be about 4 weeks to get them done and in our hands. He is making 20 sets and they are 1st come 1st served. The reason that I state that is I know there have been a few members show interest in them after the list stopped. I would hate to see anyone miss out on them.
  23. kbyte255 Just e-mail or call Dan (toro1) and let him know you need a set.
