I know what you mean. I'm just making a point to get riding multiple long day trips as a way to tune up the body....   Cheers!

Still planning to make this trip on the RWB that I refurbished over winter. Still working out a few bugs and trying to get some miles on it to make all the critters are shaken off. I have a room at the Rocket. Also working on my own stamina. I'm not in bad shape but also have not done multiple days on a VFR for about 10 years. (My FJR is much more comfy). My wife is encouraging me to trailer over there. Me? NAH! Just muscle through the backpain. Makes a cold beer at the end of the day better anyway. 

Axel I indicated that I'd meet you guys on the west end of the Lolo Pass. At the moment I'm thinking about a more direct route to reduce the number of days on the road (I know - missing the whole point). I'll PM you a week prior with a go/no-go.

Rum is for the tropics. Whiskey for the mountains....   OK - I'm good either way....Not too picky....

Have fun boys and girls....

Choco (and friends).... isn't meant to be for me... I was hoping to escape at dawn on Friday and join all of you for a ride on Saturday and return Sunday. But I can't get off work. I was able to make a tour up in that area in early June and had a great time. Would have been nice to meet, drink, eat, and ride with you and I'm a bit disappointed. Stating the obvious "have a great ride"! Maybe next time. Ernie

Choco, I am now a "possible maybe" to meet you guys in Bend. I am trying to get Friday the 25th off work. If that works, then I'd meet you guys in Bend on Friday night in time for a beer and dinner in that order. Then ride the loop with all of the gang on Saturday. Head home Sunday and back to work Monday. I have your cell phone number. I'll know for sure by Tuesday evening. I'll post up here and text you one way or the other. I know you guys are staying at Red Lion. I'll sort out lodging on Tuesday even if its a campground. For reference my mobile# is 916-412-4828. Coming north from Sacramento - if it works out. Choco, I'm out. I had to move my vacation time UP. I took a few days off last week and was able to take a long ride up the Oregon coast and back down through the mtns, Crater Lake and home. So I just can't get back up your way this year. Safe and pleasurable ride to all of you who go! Ernie

Hi Choco - my work schedule is now a bit iffy. I'm still planning to join but now a maybe. Plan b for me would be to meet the group in Bend for your last two days. Come up Thursday and be there for rides on Friday and Saturday. Will keep you posted. Ernie

HS, Thanks for the tip. I'm doing an oil change this weekend and have had a nagging mental note that with summer here that a coolant change is needed. No w I know I need to do both at same time to save some steps. I would have probably have not discovered the access to the head plug tip unitl after my oil change. Cheers!
