04asphalt commented on coderighter's file in Power Commander Maps
2008 (my pair still active) LV carbon slip-on/BMC filter more ridable in low gear /low RPM vtec transition not as seamless as dynojet map at times but much smoother than stock 5k flat gone pulls very hard above vtec temp rises alarming 20F-30F in minutes when riding hard(lean?) smelled very hot after a hard 20 minute -

history: my 04 had 1.0 and 18.34kg 3-way . I asked Phil work the forks for aggresive street with 220lbs. pilot. had to pre-load the rear way too much for correct rider sag which of course topped out the shock and the front worked better the harder I rode I could really feel the small expansion joint on the highway. the 08 has carbon fiber exhaust (hard bags for trips only) and I'm 210lbs. w/o gear I kept the 3-way off the 04 that I intend to pair with a 20.3-21.4 spring I ordered 1.0 springs again thinking I would have the forks shimed again. will thinner fork oil and valve re-work take care of the harsh intial feel? what about valves, are they really needed?

been awhile, did I screw up getting 1.0 fork springs to balance the the rear 1028 (180) rear at my new 210lbs. birthday suit?

already have a WP 3-way with 180 (1028) spring I could use with some .95 fork springs... if I have the correct spring fitted to the shock won't I have to get it valved to match the new spring? 218lbs. w/o gear

spring on my WP shock is a 180 (1028) what spring rates should the forks be for balance(same % increase) any insight?

Cam Chain Tensioner, Without Throttle Body Removal
04asphalt replied to Tightwad's topic in Maintenance Guides
I had both of my replaced last year under extended warranty while he was adjusting the valves and the guy said they didn't need to remove the throttle bodies either but since the manual calls for it and honda was footing the bill I think he should of. now will I need to have some "pair?" or starter? valves synced during a tune-up? -
