  1. I'm looking to do mine in white as well. Hmm, maybe I have to rethink this. I'm thinking of polishing the powdercoating after I'm finished to give a smooth finish, hoping that helps with oil penetration. I can always re-do quickly, but don't want to have to re-do every year because of yellowing. I'm curious if it's just the brand of powdercoating you used?
  2. It's supposed to be the F'in Cold in Franklin 2009 meet, but there are some people that have another icon already for it, This one........
  3. Man, I love it! Can't wait to see one in person.

You rock brother. I really enjoyed meeting the two of you. Someday I hope to ride like you (maybe even two up).

    Ninja!

  5. Hey - is this Matt?? Give me a shout.

  6. Valve check without removing any fairings or covers..done through the exhaust. ROFL.
  7. I'd be interested in the solidworks file when you get these finished.

  9. OK.........but you wouldn't stick a 3mm thick condom on your dick if you wanted skin like sensation. You wouldn't put on a vest and expect it to warm you like an overcoat, not would you expect it to be as formal as a dinner jacket. That's a more realistic comparison since none of what you said made any sense. I was saying that they should've bought the bike that fit what they wanted, not saying that they couldn't buy it because of size. Comeon, why spew off at the mouth just because you don't agree with what I say. I just posed a question, not a condemnation. On, and I'm sorry if you can't wear the really big ones. I'm not trying to hijack the thread, so continue on everyone. I had merely posed an opinion and question, to which I never got an intelligent answer so I'll leave it be.
  10. And sacrificing your tank if you ever go down as the turn to turn lock won't keep the bars from driving into your tank, not to mention your thumbs. I'd definitely watch for that. The seating position of the VFR is so relaxed anyway I don't see why people constantly want to take it further. Seems like some would be more suited to a ST1300 instead, just like the people that complain that the VFR isn't sporty enough might be happier with a CBR.
  11. Gave you a tank you for the frame thread. Thanks.

  12. Is there anyone out there that has done a fork conversion w/o changing the brakes or front wheel? I have access to a full machine shop, so I'm not worried about custom fab work. I'm just wondering if anyone's done it, or knows the complications with it. I'm already working on building a alum rear subframe along with some other alum parts. My goal is to keep my bike as close to stock looking as possible while upgrading some things that I don't like (the linked braking I actually do like and want to keep).
