I think he is looking for where did he drill and mount the bung for the wideband O2 sensor... I suggest something similar to Mohawks TBR header (see below on left)
isnt it suppose to be more towards the header instead of the exhaust ?
-
i was referring more to the position of the plug on the pipes
-
So i guess my sweet 1998 vfr will be left out of the pcv experiment due to the lack of o2 sensors?
No it won't be left out of the experiement. I've installed a PCV on my 98 with great results. I have the Autotune, map by gear, and temp sensors installed and working great. All I did was drill a hole for the Bosch unit and had a bung welded. Works great.
where did you weld the plug ?

See a rough diagram with dimensions in mm
A - 134mm
B - 180mm
C - 300mm
D - 280mm
E - 124mm
Hope this helps...

What dimensions do you need ?

It does move with the Throttle - so ideally shoudnt at full throttle it be at 100% ...well ! may be not !

wonder anyone has done the same mode and also installed the steering damper from Scotts ?

have the mra screen with the adjustable scoop. it works great at high speed. deflects the wind upwards, reduced noise also

How can you tell if your lines are free of air bubbles?
I just change my brake and clutch fluid for the first time. After a happy dance of finally doing it myself someone has now got me all paranoid by saying "if an air bubble crept up in there you wont have any brakes".
I took the bike out right after changing the fluid and the brakes were nice and smooth all the way through. I then practiced some emergency braking and all seems well (slightly better actually).
Can air bubbles show themselves over time or would you be able to notice them right away? Is there any way to ensure the lines are free of air bubbles?
spongy brake lever/pedal, dragging of brakes, lever/pedal going all the way and very less response on the brakes - are first sign of air in the system.

like this:
the caliper is at 12 o'clock ...should be at 2 o'clock so the bleed valve is upwards
-
only an octopus can get to that top valve on the rear brake caliper.
but i did it all today, just not the top bleed valve, seems to be alright though.
It is quite a tight squeeze there. ideally you are suppose to take it out the entire caliper and move it to 2 o'clock position.

You need to tap into the green/yellow wire ...the pulse from the rpm is totally different from the one you get at the coil.
-
Check the link www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/71392-shift-light-raptor-settings/page__fromsearch__1
-
You could also tap on to the rpm wire at the pcm ...check the wiring diagram to which wire to tap to. Also i had to alter setting at the raptor. I think i have it on my posts where. Let me check.

Bought the SS for both the Duc and the VFR. I did have to wait a little longer to get them from wiremybike, but they arrived on Monday so hopefully I'll be able to install them soon. They'll be going on when I swap out my clutch/brake lines with SS lines.by SS ones ...a little bit more and they dont rust.
Great ...i just swapped my hoses to Goodrdige ...they do look great. Always had the speedbleeders just upgraded them to SS also. end result great brakes!! Clutch SS is still pending
(without the SS bleeders)

With the ST1100 cables I am stuck because the bracket that holds the threaded ends in place is too far. I took it to my fathers machine shop and brought it forward about an inch, but I haven't had a chance to install yet because of work. For the choke you can try removing the airbox and rerouting the cable directly to the left handle bar on top of where the throttle cables run through to goto the right hand side. I tested this from lock to lock with my spiegler kit and it does not bind.
you need to move the lock nut ahead to get more slack
Just Installed Power Commander 5 On My '06!

my 5th gen has no sensors - so need to make the holes accordingly if i go ahead with the autotune.
