Actually it was not bad at all. I rode about 7,000 miles like that over 5 weeks. That back pack is a mountaineering pack so a bit pricey. But once properly adjusted, it distributes the weight very well. Except, once you start to fall over on the bike, well, you just have to accept that you are going to have to pick yourself up. There was about 150 - 180 extra pounds loaded there. The red, gold and silver are reflective decal. Really pops when light hits it in the dark. Thanks

Fuggen Peacocks start crowing about 04:00. They have been known to attach and dent the crap out of someone's brand new beamer there. They say peacock is quite tasty. -

Owrse kareoke I have ever heard here. They were either too drunk, or not drunk enough. Food wasn't too bad though. Camped at the KOA across the street. -

I did Yousemeti and the Sequoia Park in May 2012 and loved the time there. Where was this taken. I also rode the Redwood Highway (199 & 101) from Grants Pass to Crescent City, and then onto Atascadero a few years back but is was raining so hard, I didn't really get a chance to stop for pix. Nice shot BTW.

Decals reflective in the dark. Decals were 3M one offs.

Thank you HiD. Even during the daytime, if the sun hits it just right, it gets a little glow to it. The firm that did the work were quite maticulous. They even covered and trimmed two of the fairing bolts that were to be behind this wrap. Lines of the design still matches up with that which is on the fairings. -

The inspiration for these graphics came from the Canadian CTV network 2010 Vancouver Olympic graphics. These were applied this past spring after I got the bike repaited. The decal is 3M and reflective. Really reflects back with a flash or applied light in the dark. Matter of fact, the same company who did CTV's graphics did mine as well. Peer appreciation is the best form of compliment. Thanks guys.

So Rain off is basically the same as Rainex. Use that stuff on my visor with pretty good success. But as the visor becomes pitted from use, that becomes less effective.

I will have to google rainoff. Never heard of that. I am always looking for something better. FYI. I started riding in August 2006 with a new in the crate bike. Now I have just over 100,000 miles. Until I retired this past spring I rode to and from work 100 miles round trip, mostly freeway here on the west coast of Canada year round. Several times I had been caught in -10C temps and many many more times, typically ride in sub freezing temps. Been caught in the snow too but did not like that one bit. I do not have electric grips. I have used Technik winter gloves and have stayed quite comfortable with them alone. But in the very heavy rain, my hands got wet. Now having said that, I like what Monk has there. If they are rubber coated, they would be the cat's ass for keeping my hands dry. And keeping wind off the hands is probably 50% of the issue to keep warm hands. Especially when I make my annual pilgimage from Chilliwack BC to Atascadero California on the US Memorial Day weekend. Typically it is very wet until I get over the Siskiew Pass on the I-5 and down into the warmer northern California valley.
