Be sure to get a good grip on that tail. ;) And don't let go!

  2. Count down to two wheels in Ireland...

  3. Just realized that I've put on over 105,000 km since I started riding in '08. To be fair, I have a 6 month parking season (winter), and the first year I only put on 4,000 of those.

  6. T minus one day

  7. T minus two days...

  8. Planning a Ride Report... it involves crossing the border, visiting multiple states and putting a few miles on the Viffer. Sounds like the ideal vacation to me!

I'm envious of your warm weather. Hope that makes you feel even better. We've had a foot of snow "up north" and a couple of 80 degree days in the same week. We call our weather here interesting.

  10. Do not ask me about snow, freezing rain or ice.

I won't know anything about floods until Spring Melt hits and the runoff from the mountains swells the river.

You may be having light switch summer - I seem to be experiencing "zombie winter"... it just won't die a natural death!

I noticed the weather man predicts 60+ for you soon. Before us down south here! Be sure to send it our way. One positive: I've got some southern exposure and the grass is turning green. My husky, Kita, is not liking it. At least that's one of us.

Was able to do the two wheeled commute today. Took me three hours to get home... might have been the small detour through small town Alberta...

  11. This morning it was -3C (26F) and the bike was covered in frost - couldn't just let it sit like that in my driveway. With wind chill factored in the commute was -16C (4F). A little brisk for the first two-wheeled commute of the year.

  12. Shovelled snow last night. Shovelled snow this morning Shovelled snow this evening. Riding is but a distant memory.

When we get cold/snow here in MN it is usually the result of an Alberta Clipper. So thanks for all the recent snow. Now I truly share your pain. 10 inches to deal with today.

I'm so glad to hear that. :(

  13. I now have two Silver 2008 VFRs registered in my name. (The registry agent was a little confused. Highly possible that my neighbours are as well.)

  14. ‎3,275 miles. 5,270 km. Four days where I found sub zero temperatures and snow. Home safely.

  15. More snow... Great Falls, Montana. Perhaps I ought to name the ride report "Running the Storms"?

  16. Riding in the... Snow? Buffalo, Wyoming.

  17. Morning coffee just past Omaha Nebraska. Light drizzle and high 50s for temps - great weather for riding.

  18. On another fantastic journey!

  19. In Atlanta. This morning there was Snow in Calgary. This evening... ummm... wow - I think I found the warmth! Tomorrow I get the bike and put a start to 9 days on two wheels.

  20. Countdown to a trip south. Going to leave the May snow behind.

  21. Six Weeks, a Tent and a VFR has 30,000 views and counting. (and I'm still writing it). Thanks guys!

  22. The white slip and slide show outside seems to indicate parking season has arrived.
