    I like the black frame.
  2. I agree 100%. Nothing but air filters from Mother Honda for me. P.S. Hope your are all right, with first the flooding and then the fires. Keeping you and yours in my thoughts.

Silver wheels! Were these painted / powder coated?

    You are my hero!
  5. It's true Bent. I have moved to "Life in the slower lane; I have lost (most of) my mind". (Apologies to The Eagles.)

Looks like the cockpit of an irresistible force for killing hooved forest rats. I've heard you've gotten a few. That makes me happy. Too many of those buggers around now days.

Are we going to get to see any of your recordings? Your mounting arrangment looks the same as my fork light mountings. Nice work.

    Why am I not surprised?
  9. I'm no knee dragger but I routinely get 8,000 - 10,000 miles out of the Pilot Road 2 tires I've used in the last 10 years. The fronts usually have enough tread to keep using but I prefer getting tires in a set.

    I agree completely.
  11. That is quite decent mileage from a rear. Looks Very Well Used.

Outstanding picture! In my book, smiles per miles is the goal.
  13. I have only sent one sample. I imagine their process is designed to measure an engine over time. So my results lack any historical comparison. And I was unaware of the ability to measure engine wear prior to this. But it does inform my decisions on oil changes and Honda's recommended 8,000 mi oil changes. A goal of limiting my use of petroleum is balanced against my desire to help my machines last as long as possible. I also assume there they have an idea of what sort of wear an average engine can take based on a large amount of historical data.
  14. Hi MaxSwell, Thank you for your donation of 100.00 USD. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion
  15. Thanks for the suggestion, but I do not know how and it's kind of late.
  16. Okay. I stand corrected. Having had a career in IT, where backup and restore was/is The First Law of Change, your approach is "highly logical" (says Spock).
  17. So Dutchy, are you out to set a record for the longest thread in VFRD history? This would be quite the slog for a first time reader. Care to start new threads for each subject? In any event, carry on.
  18. Obviously another member of the MBS club - Multi Bike Syndrom. And look at all those engines!
  19. How were the crowds on the roads. The one time I was there the traffic was really bad. That was when the government was giving out stimulous money and the roads were receiving lots of maintenance. Yosemite is quite the fabulous place.
  20. This pic makes the rear tire look like a bicycle tire. On a second look I see like a fish. My bad.
  21. I have it on good athority, though not through personal experience, that those Y2K's take 20 yrears off one's age and add 125% more sex appeal to the pilot, at least until the helmet comes off.
  22. My grandma, what skinny tires you have! "All the better to .....?"
