There are only two blues for the VTEC... one is much lighter than the other... the darker one is more purplish... I have this latter one (or did until I painted it ala RC30)... and it was officially described as Lapis Blue Metallic... PB-257M... PB-332P is Pearl Heron Blue and is a lighter tone
Yes, mine is the lighter Pearl Heron Blue. I always thought the darker blue on the old 02-04 models was actually less purple, but I've never seen one in the flesh, only this photo http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/gallery/image/62619-2002-vfr800-blue/. Never realised it was more purple :) Looking at your photos, it is a lot more purple.

Very nice-nice....what is the paint code for the color of your bike?
The sticker under the seat says "PB-332P" Here it was an 04 to about 06 colour. 02 - 04 had a much darker less purple blue. Haven't had a blue since.

Thanks guys. You'd think with the being our summer there'd be lots of posts from down under :)
Don't forget to read my blog entry with this one too.

Man, I really have to check these comments more often. Blue was a stock offering in Australia from about 04-06, with a slightly darker blue on the 02 - 04 bikes.

:) This is looking out over the entire Sydney basin. If you could do some of that image stuff you see on TV, you could see the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the horizon.

Gee some of us whinge about our plates, look at that billboard on the back of that! Don't think a Fender Eliminator would cut it!

Lol, not even my bike, it was a post I put up for a discussion on the two different 6th gen blues. Of course, my blue looks much better ;)
