  2. I did this same thing a while ago as well to cut down on wind. I used to get my head beat around with th e wind but now it hits my chest and takes weight off my wrists. The only negative I have had is wind going up from my chest up into my helmet which makes my eyes water. I use a chin curtain which keeps out cool wind.
  3. This is the final location for the reservoir. DSCF0001.JPG
  4. Just took it to my local bike shop and had them take it off. They do it very fast and it takes the risk away from me loosing an eye.
  5. My shock came from an F3 race bike. So yes it is old but way better than stock. Much better to have the rear spring setup for my weight. As for the front springs, the thing I like the best is the improvement in my braking. The front no longer dives under my weight.
  6. I found this to be true also after installing a 1100 lb rear on my Ohlins, it's transferring much more weight to the front end which loads it more. What fork springs are you running? .95 or higher I would think with that 1300lb rear. When I had my forks revalved and re-sprung a few years back I still had the stock rear spring rate on the Ohlins rear and while I felt some improvement in the forks they were Never right until I put the proper rate rear spring on. Then it all came together and railed! I am using .95 springs in the front. The bike is set up very well but I can tell that I am going to have to do the front gold valves and new fluid. The front is not being controlled as well as the rear at this point. I will get some pics up tonight of my final mounting location.

  8. Yes I love the HID's but I will be looking into a slick way of adding some more lights. I just can't get enough.
  9. I saw an RC51 track bike like that @ 2 wheels only in north Georgia last fall. Looks much better on the RC51 B)
  10. Put on a Hypercoil 1300lb spring and just got back from my first ride. Not to many miles to tell yet but she seems to attack the turns now. Also first run on the new tires. Here is all the stuff I have collected in my search for a good suspension. DSCF0007.JPG DSCF0008.JPG DSCF0009.JPG DSCF0010.JPG Temporary mounting on the bike. Going to make a bracket to mount it to the exhaust/foot peg bracket bolt. DSCF0011.JPG Does anyone have any good pics of a reservoir mounted?
  11. Sorry I have had no updates lately. I finally took some new pics put have not taken the bike out to get any pics yet. Here are some pics of the wiring and the ballast mounting spots. Also took some pics of some body panel clips I get from the auto parts store for $1.77 for two. DSCF0001.JPG DSCF0002.JPG DSCF0003.JPG DSCF0004.JPG DSCF0005.JPG DSCF0006.JPG
  12. mcmotoring was the name of the seller
  13. As soon as it stops raining I will get the bike out and shine the lights against the garage door and post some pics. .
  14. Got home from work and had to get them in. Got them from ebay for $89 shipped. Ended up getting the H4 High and low beam set up. The high beam is just a regular bulb which puts out a bunch of spread out higher pointing light. These are very bright and are much brighter than the picture. The actual HID is the low beam bulb which is directed lower and are super bright. Much brighter than my silverstars ever were. These came from Japan I think and arrived in perfect condition. I was afraid they may have been broke when I shook the box and I heard things that moved. I was pleased to see that everything was packaged in foam and the 2 brackets that I did not use were hitting each other and nothing else. I used the same mounting points for the ballasts that everyone else has been using. Zip ties are my friend. One hour and fifteen minutes, one beer and one mixed drink later and I am very happy with the result of the HID's. No ride test yet but I am very happy with my blinding HID's so far. On with the pics. High beam regular bulb: DSCF0100.JPG Low beam: DSCF0099.JPG
