This is the same manual that is already available here on VFRD. I have been using this so much lately that I went ahead and made it a little more useful for myself. I assumed that some other members might like to have it as well. Combined both files into one. Optimized the file size so that it is only 60 MB. Ran OCR text recognition to enable text searches on the entire book. Rotated pages that had landscape page diagram for ease of viewing. Created bookmarks for each chapter & sub-chapters. I figured this was the least I could do to contribute since I am getting so much help from this forum.

Good Morning, I found this helpful link, it appears to be a service manual for the 8th Gen VFR800F / RC79 https://www.vfrdiscussion.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=67493

Ahh, back to two of my favorite things, techno music and vicodi... umm I mean, wiring diagrams and "photoshop"! So, a friend asked me to fix up a 3rd Gen wiring diagram à la the 5th gen diagrams that I did previously. They work the same way as the last. If you don't have an image manipulation program that can handle layers, then you will be missing out on the biggest feature of these files. I'm going to pimp the excellent, free, open-source program GIMP again. If you don't have a capable program, grab yourself a copy to experience the full technicolour majesty of these diagrams. All the .zip files contain a high resolution 11x17 formatted .png that yields acceptable printed/laminated results if you bring it to your local Kinkos, UPS Store, Staples, etc. Laminated, color 11x17s usually run about $5, and give you something to write on with grease pencil or overhead transparency marker in the garage. The _GIMP and _PS files have a high resolution, layered, image that allow you to show and hide the color of the wires (simply toggle layer visibility). This allows you to focus on sections of the wiring diagram that you are troubleshooting. The file types are .xcf and .psd, respectivly. The NoLayers version simply has a high resolution .png file, suitable for use on low performance machines that lack the capability to run real image manipulation software. The .png files are not layered, obviously. I am providing this free of charge and if you pass it on to others, I require the same of you. The only thing I ask is that you credit me for the editing; these things are quite time consuming to generate. I urge caution when using this diagram. There may be errors in the original Honda file and, unlike the 5th Gen, I did not have a handy, disassembled 3rd gen to verify the accuracy of the wire colors specified in the original file. There may also be regional or production variability. Again, use at your own risk, performing improper maintenance, repair, or modification to your motorcycle can result in harm yourself, others, and/or property of the same. By using this file, you release me from any damages to yourself or others.

As originally made available by HispanicSlammer, this manual first came out for the 2002 model (first 6th generation model year). Not much has changed with respect to servicing the 6th gen VTEC since it was introduced in 2002. By-and-large, this manual applies to all 6th generation VFRs for years 2002 to 2011. There are only minor differences in some later years, most notably starting in 2006, with changes to VTEC engagement RPM and the wiring harness. All the hard work for this scanned version was done by an unknown source. The actual manual part is not searchable since it is a compilation of page scans only. I was tired of scrolling around the huge document trying to find what I needed. So I spent a few hours generating bookmarks. This version has bookmarks for all the subsections for each major section in the manual. The first page for each major section lists all the subsections and these each now have a bookmark for quick and easy document navigation. If you enable bookmark searching in your PDF reader - and most PDF readers support this - you can then search for major terms and subsections and get search results in the bookmarks. Remember, this Factory Service Manual is far from perfect. Firstly, it presumes you have a reasonable level of mechanic/shop experience. Secondly, it contains many errors. Not just typos, but erroneous information. Some of it was fixed in errata releases in subsequent years but not all of it (trust me, I've checked). I strongly advise that you search for relevant topics, review them and post any questions you may have in this most excellent of forums, VFRD, prior to performing your own major servicing of your VFR. There are amazingly helpful members here and a lot of great How-To posts. Enjoy and be safe! P.S. new version v3 has fully searchable text thanks to Adobe Acrobat's amazing "recognize text" OCR feature which has the added bonus of deskewing the page images as well as generating fully searchable text!

There are several really great and easy to use online microfiche websites. However, when it comes to finding a part and you're unsure of exactly which microfiche its on, it can be somewhat difficult to find. I wanted an offline microfiche and parts list document that was searchable to find what I needed or take with me when I'm working on the VFR. I couldn't find one anywhere so I thought I'd make one from the printable versions of the online ones. Well, this turned out to be much harder than I anticipated. After countless hours of downloading, saving pages, editing them for readability and compiling them into one document, the result was a nice straightforward searchable document. I thought I'd share my efforts in case others found it useful. This document is specifically for the 2006 Honda VFR800A Interceptor ABS (note that it's the ABS version - lots of extra brake plumbing!). It even includes the Evap Canister stuff for the California model, even though mine doesn't have this. The usual disclaimers apply. Before ordering anything and when in doubt, consult the latest online versions - there are superseded part numbers that come out from Honda all the time. Don't be shy, feel free to post questions at VFRD - there's a lot of helpful members here. Enjoy!
