  1. If you haven't read about the many near death experiences caused directly from K&N filters, you need to look it up. Not kidding on that. Hell with the oil issue. I have yet to hear of an oil related engine failure in over 20 years of reading VFR forums. Just use oil in them and change it when you feel like it. DO NOT use K&N filters. Look it up.

  5. Hi Maritan - got your PM and thanks for your interest. I’m writing from my phone just now, so I don’t have the dyno charts you requested, but will attach them to a PM when I get back to my laptop tonight. My subjective opinion is that the 8 gen benefits from the headers the most; more than 5 gen or 6 gen. This is due to the symbiosis between Honda redesigning the 8 gen’s cams to beef up the midrange and the headers’ increased breathing capacity. The resulting 16% increase in horsepower and torque at 7000rpm is a fun kick in the pants. In short, we are between production runs and sold out of 8 gen headers at the moment - sorry the timing is off for your project. We will be gathering orders for another production run as folks chime in for more headers. Wade the builder will do a production run when we have six committed orders, so the entry point is more easily reached than the previous minimum of fifteen orders.

  6. Wondering how you're doing that - do you have a dedicated bench mounted polishing setup?

  7. I logged on to you tube, and on my recommendations I see a Seb Speed clear clutch cover on the screen. "Moto pilot CBR/VFR bike build" on you tube

  8. No worries. Just got a bit of a surprise when I received an email from MyUS about a second headers. I had something of a "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" moment when reading it... *Internal dialogue" "Hey, I might get a second set of the you beaut VFRD Headers...Excellent!" "But they actually belong to someone else, who's paid good money for them, so you need to the right thing and let them know...Bogus!" 😆 All turned out in the end, though, so all is good.

  10. That was my fault, the FedEx web site auto-filled your address in and I thought I had double checked before clicking the "ship" button. Sorry guys, I'll try better next time!

  12. You are correct, sir... the Rapidbike can use the narrow band OEM sensors with a standard map or the upgrade Autotune with a wideband O2 sensor. Heh, heh, heh... Bung-holio!

  13. , so after reading this data I'm afraid of how low my wear protection dropped on that trip.>>>>>>> My experience, the difference between a 5w40 and a 20w50 on (max water temps) in 100 degree heat, is one or 2 degree max. Actually to close to call as any effect at all. My vfr never sees more than 227 dgree max ever, there was one time I saw 230 degree, just a non issue. However I tend to run standard coolant (prestone 60 to 70% mix), where many riders are trying various concoctions, from engine ice , to water wetter and water. Just an non issue for me, ever, I run the same stuff in my KTM race motor also, where others seem to always have issues with boil over, although good mapping or jetting plays a role too in motor heat. When my KTM 500 single cylinder was new *(less than 3,000 miles), I produced less metal in a uoa with more mileage than BLS's 50,000 plus v4 , that is damn near funny. Yet he continues his quest. to enlighten. However my experience with light weights and high sustained rpms , light weight oils show earlier cam lobe wear , and the reason I don't run 30 weights in High Rpm Motorcycles.

  14. The VF750 manual says 10W-40 and the VFR800 Deluxe says 10-30W, so I bought 2 gallons of Amsoil 10-40 pure synthetic so I could use the same in both. Not going to worry about losing a little power to oil drag.
