Willmavfr800 1 Posted April 7, 2019 This is the first day I seen the bike out in the wilderness, sun was shining weather was sweet, she needs a bloody good degrease and a clean but priority’s we’re getting her serviced and running. I pulled the tank off pre ordered a battery and I’d allready got two oil filters and some oil for a change the day before at work so I cracked on in the blazing sunshine (well 14 degrees is pretty good for the south of England). Oil filter was an ancient rusted relic of a uni part filter (went bust 6 years back) and the oil was black as shoe polish with a brown rusty tinge to it, I later found out this is caused by the oil cooler pipes which decided to blow out upon starting for the first time, but at least the oil pressure was good ayy 😁 small wins and all that.
