Gotta ask where this is. Good on you guys for navigating past this big divot. On my trip this summer we had to pass on Angeles Crest Hwy because of a much smaller sinkhole near Wrightwood.

From Oroville there are two ways to Quincy.  Hiway 70 which takes you along a winding river and is posted at 55 with not very many tight curves but a nice ride.  Then this road connects Oroville to Bucks Lake then on to Quincy.  It has many more fun twisties and road is kept pretty nice.  Last winter with all the rains this washed out and there are no signs yet of them getting around to fixing it.   The shoulder that bikes can carefully cross saves much time rather than going on a long detour with gravel roads.  The drop off edge is quite a drop and looks scary but shoulder is pretty much a straight 20 foot shot. On the map this is at what is called Mountain House about 30 miles out of Oroville.  I have see pictures of people pushing their bikes across with help from other riders which might be less risky.   A mistake would be very costly and hurt very much.

Yep, Bucks Lake Road. Pushing seemed to be the more dangerous route to go. Riding was a case of look straight ahead and give it some gas ;)

7 bikes, vfr800, vfr1200, rt1200, Transalp, fz09, st1300, fjr1300, all had no issues, but all are well seasoned riders.
