My English buddies bike he bought in Florida. This was a few years ago. I had told him that if he did buy a bike in the US I would ride it back to Maine and stick it in my garage so he had a ride when in the US.
Despite being late November, I kept my word and headed north. It was easily the worst 1700 miles I've ever ridden in my life.
The good news was that he did show up the next year and we rode out to Calf and back, he on the Kawa and me on the VF1000R.
