iamzombie 26 Posted October 14, 2014 Bike looks gorgeous in that shot, great backdrop with the mountains and wind turbines and such. Quote Link to comment
Member Contributer wrestler 36 Posted October 14, 2014 It does look great from this angle. I knew somebody would find an angle to make this thing look good. Great shot, as Slammer said. Quote Link to comment
suzukijo 4 Posted October 14, 2014 Thx for the kind words. When I first sat on the VFR1200, in '10, like most I was impressed how small the bike was, and how big the muffler was. Now after owning the bike for half year, the muffler has grown on me, and I don't have any intention of replacing it. So many of the photos I see of the aftermarket exhausts installed, seem to take something away from its original styling. Everyone has their own ideas of what's "good looking". One of my friends even commented that the whole bike was hideous, but he owns a Hayabusa, and I think he just wanted to pass around some of what he got. This isn't my first bike, the more I ride it, the more I like it. This location was a dirt side road, off the main that allowed a clear view of the Windmills, so prevalent on the west side of the Antelope Valley. A blustery cold day, in sunny so cal USA. V4 Rosso 353 Posted October 14, 2014 Nice shot. In the background, is that a farm where they grow wind turbines? Quote Link to comment
suzukijo 4 Posted October 14, 2014 Those are really HUGE. Interestingly, all of them have a blinking red light at night. Some are owned by the same company, and at night they all blink in unison. Its a big industry now, either wind turbines, or solar panels. what was once desert wasteland is now being gobbled up for wind farms or solar collection. Your tax dollars at work here in USA.
