Guest CoastalCoyote Posted May 1, 2009 Thanks for the nice comments everyone. I bought the bike from a fellow named Joe, who was selling it for a friend from Oregon named Neil. I am the third owner of the bike, and Neil only put about 1.5k miles on her. As near as I can tell she runs like a dream, and I've been riding her as my daily commuter for a few weeks now. I feel like I'm starting to get the know her a little bit, and every ride is a fun one. I'm on a mini hiatus while recovering from minor surgery. Doc says I have to stay off for 7 days, we'll see if I last that long. :fing02: I am a die-hard Wings fan, and a huge hockey fan (don't really follow any other sport closely). I like to wear my jersey over my leathers, and I typically get positive and/or good-natured reactions while riding here in the Bay Area (Shark territory). The picture was taken on Pescadero Creek Road, between the 84 and the 1. Two Bay Area online communities (BARF-Bay Area Riders Forum and SBR-South Bay Riders) organize an annual newbie ride that introduces new riders to the Santa Cruz mountains and the twisty roads the area has to offer. Riders are divided into groups of 4-5 riders with the addition of experienced lead and sweep riders. The goal is safety, and all speed limits are observed. This year we had close to 200 participants! One of the nice things is that community members participating in the event would set up at various stages and snap pictures of all (26+) groups of riders came through, and subsequently posted the pictures online to share. I am personally very grateful for the event, as well as my first "action" photo. BARF: http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/ SBR: http://www.southbayriders.com/ Quote Link to comment
