Hey, made the big time! Thanks Slammer. That was taken during our family annual Hoot outing. We go prior to the hoot and midweek to avoid the craziness. Thats my 11yo daughter cheesing for Killboy. She's a great passenger! The Corbin seat with backrest and the Autocomm have proved invaluable for her comfort and piece of mind. My 18yo daughter is behind me on her red Seca II, and not in the picture is my wife on her F650GS.

That's awesome! I wish that my family could do an outing like that! Wife has a bad back though... she doesn't ride at all , not even as a passenger. Sometimes I feel lucky because it's good to get away by myself. but, other times it would be great to be able to share this experience with her. Just riding anywhere, but riding Deals gap or the Cherohala skyway is something she will likely never experience.

At least I was able to share this experience with my 13 year old son, another great passenger. Maybe one day soon we will both be riding our own bikes at the Gap.

Sigh...

Gotta love a family that rides together. Nice pic.

Can't get the wife near my bike. I'll just wait until my son can reach the pegs.

Nice picture! Don't know if you remember me but we chatted for a bit at the restaurant at the Deal's gap store on a rainy day in June.

We will be back there again September 24-27.

VTECAL,

How was the road conditionis? Last time I was there (June) the LE presence was stifiling. Never got over 25 mph....

I finally went to the Cherohola skyway and had a great time.

Are those mirror extensions?

best regards

We were there mid week and rode US 129 and the Skyway early in the morning then headed off to oher lesser traveled roads. Traffic was fairly light, even though the honda hoot was the following week. LEO presence was light the whole week we were in the area. Cruisers slowed me down more when I was solo...

Yup, those are Genmar mirror extenders so I can see past my fat elbows...

John--Hope it stays dry for you in SEP, unlike the VFRD get-together!

Ride Safe.

I feel a bit bad for ya'll whose wives are not interested. They are missing out soooo much! I'd like to experience the Dragon... at least once and earn that sticker (& Killboy photo)! My hubby is usually on his Vstrom with my (soon to be) 12 yr old stepson and my 13 yr old stepdaughter is usually with me on my bike. We only run around locally with them, but it sure makes for a fun afternoon!

VFRider Gal--you might consider what we do. My oldest daughter, on her Seca II and me solo on the viffer make will ride to our destination -- whether its deals gap or Barber Motorsports Park, etc and wife trailers her beemer with our 11yo watching videos in our Honda Van. That way we have our support vehicle to carry all of the crap a family ends up taking, and we can take a day off from riding and go do some shopping in pidgeon forge...

If the weather is super crappy we just put my oldest daughter bike on the trailer ( a utility trailer with two baxley stands) and I head off into the muck on my own--the rain doesn't bother my 'stich or my Z6's

Ride safe.
