I've completed the modification of my VTEC and the only trouble I had was finding a set of handlebars that cleared the fairings and did not restrict travel. The triple clamp of the 2000 or 2001 RC51 mates up with a small modification of the steering stops. The VTEC's "Linked Brake System" has to be modified but that takes less than an hour. The VFR handle bars work but they do not allow for full travel. I used aftermarket clip ons and had a local machine shop make a set of handle bars that worked great, yet I never trusted the bars for wheelies and stoppies. I finally found the perrfect bars on E-bay and purchased a set of "Contri-Bars" for a Honda 954. The RC51 modification is an easy modification using standard tools. Gives the VFR a racier look. If anyone wants additional information, photos,.....feel free to e-mail. I recently purchased a 2000 RC51 that I am parting out if anyone wants to purchase the front end. I can tell you everything you need to make the modification.
