Member Contributer Philois1984 Posted September 26, 2021 Member Contributer Share Posted September 26, 2021 No not with COVID 19 but the dreaded (or not) Multiple bike disorder. Decided to purchase a bike to hit some dirt roads and trails with, will open up numerous new rides for me. Bike arrived today and am very happy with it. Have already done an hour on some easy dirt tracks in my area. First dirt riding in over 40 years.

TimC
Congrats on your new KLR! 🙂 That was my first dream bike. When I was a kid growing up in central Indiana, I thought a KLR would be the best possible bike. Take it on the road, cut through a field for a shortcut, do some dirt riding and small jumps. I'm a street-only rider, but I still dream of trail riding once in a while.
Member Contributer Philois1984 Posted March 6, 2022 Author Member Contributer Share Posted March 6, 2022 Just added some engine guards, bash plate, head light protector and a low profile magnetic sump plug. Just need to choose some new off road foot pegs and I am just about ready for the Cape York trip in Aug. (Or should I say the bike is just about ready 🤞)

Have you modified your suspension in any way? No, I have not. Unlike many others with KLRs I don't have any issues with the suspension. I like it the way it is. Some say it's not progressive enough, but I prefer the smoother ride. Smooths out some of the rough stuff.
