The evolution of my viffer

Recommended Posts

I've posted on here before ,and if you look at my past ,you will see I don't ride the regular routes. Got talking to another rider about doing a reasonable dirt road ride , he subsequently ended up dropping out . So I decided to go alone , should be off in three weeks , lockdown dependant . The mighty indestructible vfr needed some minor changes . First I raised the front mudguard for two reasons , more clearance for the front tyre and to enable it to take a rear tyre on the front , if I can't get the correct tyre. Off-road tyre choices are very limited in the right size in Australia.made a rack and crash bars, put a second hand fairing on for the enevitable drop , and I'm done . Sorry to the purists , it only takes 40 minutes to go from "gentleman Jim" to "mad Max"

IMHO is was a good choice  to run replacement fairings and preserve the very rare 50th anniversary body work you have.  Should be a good adventure.
