Hello, Wald here, I am new to the forum. Just bought my first VFR (97) after living on inline 4's. I am looking for louvres (or the Ferrari look like cowls) in the fairing for a 97 VFR750. Thank you.

Thanks Dutchy, this is correct #25 and #26. I have checked several site in US, not available anymore.

I found a site in Germany which sells it but this will be the last option.

Thank you,

BTW, how accurate is the Tachometer on the 94-97 VFR? It seems that mine is about 5-8 mph too optimistic (or maybe I am going faster than I think?!)

speedo or tach?

U.S. law says speedo can never indicate slower speed than actual. So most manufacturers err on side of caution and have speedo read about 10% too fast. Going 50mph will show 55mph. Displayed 110mph is really 100mph.

Thanks,  I meant speedo. In this case it makes sense. I had it at 110 and it did not feel like it. My hornet has a digital speedo which is only 2-3 mph off.

It's the Brits wot done this:

U.S. law specifies a +/- accuracy. UK regulations prohibit a speedometer that under-indicates speed.

Thanks Magneto. Just browsed through the link you attached, the only involvement missing is the church! Bureaucracy at its best!

Thanks all for Comments.

I have measured the speedometer error to be ~ 8.8% optimistic (higher than actual speeds) on each of my fifth gens.
