Member Contributer lazyeye Posted November 1, 2020 Member Contributer Share Posted November 1, 2020 I bought the Scorpion Yosemite Pants/Jacket for my Alaska trip last year. They did pretty well in the Alaska rainstorms and with the addition of underlayers and heated gear got me all the way to Deadhorse, AK and back. Well anyways yesterday I tested how well they crash riding on cold tires on cold pavement (not my VFR). Approximately 50mph lowside crash. The fabric is worn through (you can see the armor pieces) Shoulder, elbow, hip, knee. I'm fine, a little bit bruised on my hip because there isn't any real armor there. So consider this as a recommendation. The Yosemite gear works for cold, wet, weather and a crash.
TimC
Damn. Sorry to hear about the crash, but glad you're okay. Gear did its job all around. Thanks for the quick review!
