Today I put precisely 77.9 miles on the RC51 on roads in my back yard, fantastic roads actually, but unfortunately during the summer occupied by vehicles both 10 times larger, and 10 times slower, than my bike. This time of year it is a know hazard, tourist season, but this afternoon I actually had above-average miles of perfectly paved winding coast road open to me and the RC. To be fair, our locals are very nice about pulling over into the frequent turnouts, as the signs tell them to. Tourists not so much (can you say Mustang convertible?)

As always, the rule-of-thumb here is that the more cows you see, the more bugs you have to remove from your face shield. Rolling through Tomales I made a spur-of-the-moment left turn towards Dillon Beach, then cut through back roads towards Valley Ford. Looped back south through Nick's Cove, Marshall (I don't like oysters), with hardly a rolling RV roadblock to slow me down. What a great road!

By the time I got to Point Reyes Station the parade had slowed to a crawl, but I turned east at Olema to the back roads that I know, bumpy but thinly traveled. I will never sell this bike, what a hoot.  😎

Nice ride! I too was in Pt Reyes Station this afternoon. Up Mill Valley via Edgewood/Sequoia, Panoramic, Stinson, Pt Reyes Station back through Nicasio Valley and SFD. Beautiful day for a ride.

Here I'm waiting across the street from Mt Home Inn for a bus I was behind to move ahead.

And thanks to the BMW driver going westbound on Pt Reyes - Petaluma Rd. who warned me about the CHP waiting ahead!

Haha, same for me! Heading south into Olema a Porche flashed his lights. Sure enough, there he was under a tree at the intersection. Made sure I put my foot down at the stop sign!

Beautiful bike you have there. Red Honda paint always looks even redder in the sunlight.

Me, on the 1992 CBR600F2, chasing down Me, on the 1986 VF500F, at Spokane Raceway Park, Spokane WA.  We were both Class Champions that season and finished 6th overall WMRRA club points.

Cool.  My Freddie Spencer Arai Supervent is up on the "Retired" helmet shelf with a genuine Freddie autograph opposite the one that came on it.  Got it for my 16th Birthday from my parents.

I love the idea of this thread!

1999 model in 2012 on Sport Touring rubber. This was a riding buddy's b-day gift. A bunch of us got together, a few of them went to his house and stole his bike after they track prepped it...and delivered it to track weekend. ST rubber sucks for track days!

2019 on more appropriate rubber. I rode the VFR part of one day and the CB-1 the other.

I don't have many of me on public roads, as I'm riding! This was back in 2015 with my gal on the back. Low key day cruising in western NC.

Dug up one more from 2013.

I've said that for years. Best teacher of smoothness, good body position, and light inputs...and it is free. The last few years, I haven't had much opportunity to.

This was just following a polish from a wonderful Forum member from the VFR owners club in the Netherlands. Fantastic work. And i imagine this is what she looked like coming off the showroom floor. My god. @jroberts427 special tag just for you 😉

PS added a cheeky Swiss alps pic as well.

Here's a different photo from my May 2007 CLASS event at Sears Point, this time cresting the rise at T2 with the main grandstand in the background. Ten years earlier I'd done a CLASS school at Laguna Seca, both are fun but Laguna Seca is pretty special. Fwiw, at the time I'd owned the '92 VFR750 about 3 years and the clocks read 72K kilometres, and has just installed a pair of Michelin Pilot Power 2CT/

An amazing quiver of mc's for someone without a garage. Good going Leon!
