UpperCloud
I own a -84 Honda VF500 and it came with aftermarket exhaust system. I did some re-jetting, considering it is almost straight from the cylinders to the muffler, I increased main jet sizes to 112 and pilot jets to 40. It still needs some adjustment, considering it felt a little sluggish at about 160kmh. But for starters, I would like to know if anyone has any ideas what kind of exhaust system is this. There is only one muffler on the right side of the bike. I will post more detailed pictures of it later.
Member Contributer Dutchy Posted September 9, 2020 Member Contributer Share Posted September 9, 2020 Hyyva païva! That exhaust looks to be a "homebrew special" Without a collector box (with tubes inside for the rear cilinders to equal length with the front), it is no surprise that things are not peachy... You will have ZERO chance of passing the inspection for "vintage status" for a >25yr old vehicle no?
