Nozz
1997 VFR750... I’m not crazy. Right? Looking at my front wheel axle, left side, it looks like there should be a cotter pin here, but the exploded parts diagram doesn’t show it. Tell me I’m not crazy. Anyone with an actual picture or experience would help alleviate my insanity. Thanks y’all. Nozz P.S. Picture are from the front, looking aft. Left side. Member Contributer COS_VFR Posted September 2, 2020 Member Contributer Share Posted September 2, 2020 That is normal. There is not supposed to be a cotter pin there. If you took the axle out you would find a shoulder that keeps the axle from moving. When I take out the axle, I put a screwdriver in those holes to help pull the axle out. CharlieFoxtrot
You could still be crazy, but this isn't an indicator. 🤪

Member Contributer mello dude Posted September 12, 2020 Member Contributer Share Posted September 12, 2020 Main purpose of the hole is to use for a rod/screwdriver or what have you to torque the axle bolt on the left side.
